IAAPA Expo Europe: Exhibitor Preview

It’s arrived! This September sees the attractions industry unite in London for IAAPA Expo Europe 2022. Find out what to expect from exhibitors.

Attractions.io Guest experience platform Attractions.io - which powers mobile experiences for the likes of Merlin Entertainments, Butlin’s, and San Diego Zoo - is showcasing enhancements to its native wayfinding solution. Guests regularly cite ‘getting lost’ as the most frustrating part of their visits to

attractions. In addition, Attractions.io’s research has shown that 58% of guests would love to see busy park hotspots labelled in order to plan their routes accordingly. It’s no longer enough to offer 2D printed maps and the future lies in empowering guests with the data and tools they need to shape their own experiences. New for 2022, the enhancements to Attractions.io’s GPS-enabled wayfinding

solution allow guests to zoom into parks’ hand-illustrated maps to explore themed areas, exhibits, eateries and facilities in detail, and rotate their park map to orient themselves during their visit. Previously only available to users of Attractions.io’s mobile app solution,

wayfinding can now be offered as a stand-alone feature, giving attractions of all sizes the option to integrate cutting-edge wayfinding technology with their existing guest experience solution - or migrate entirely to Attractions.io’s core platform, which combines wayfinding, messaging, food ordering, a digital wallet and more into a complete digital concierge for guests. Mark Locker, founder and CEO of Attractions.io, says: “We know that many

operators struggle to offer the seamless navigation experience guests expect after using apps like Google Maps. By offering our wayfinding solution as a stand-alone product or within our core platform, we hope to support operators in providing an exceptional navigation experience regardless of the solution they use for their guest experience management. Attractions.io has also launched a new, real-time visitor view for operators,

who can now use live heat maps to identify high and low footfall areas of their park and make data-driven decisions about staffing. Expo attendees will be able to explore Attractions.io’s virtual theme park and test out the wayfinding enhancements in person. Meanwhile, Attractions.
