One of the most anticipated worlds in Epic Universe will be Dark Universe. Dark Universe will full envelope guests as they embark on monstrous adventures spread across attractions, shops, restaurants and more. Created in partnership with Universal Pictures, Dark Universe blends the
iconic stories of unearthly legends like Dracula with an all-new generation of monsters and characters. The signature attraction of Dark Universe will be Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment – Universal Orlando’s most terrifying attraction ever. The state-of-the-art dark ride will take guests deep into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor where they will see Dr. Victoria Frankenstein at work in her laboratory. When her experiments go awry guests are immediately thrust into an incredible and intense ride that includes 14 first-of-their-kind technologically advanced life-life monsters. As guests travel through the darkness they will try to evade The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Brides of Dracula and more. To kick off the scary adventure, guests be greeted with a Frankenstein’s Monster that stands nine feet tall and weighs over 800 pounds (36 kilograms). Not to be judged by sheer size alone, guests will be amazed when he walks during the ride preshow. 3 Other attractions and activities in Dark
Universe include Curse of the Werewolf, a spinning family coaster inspired by “The Wolf Man,” the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, the Meet the Monsters eerie meet and greets with the town residents included Victoria Frankenstein’s servant, Ygor, The Invisible Man, an eccentric monster hunter, and more.
