Amusement parks across Europe rank

among the world’s top tourist destinations, drawing millions of visitors annually. Outdoor parks capitalise on this popularity by offering diverse entertainment experiences to both domestic and international tourists. In Europe, parks are embracing innovations such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled interactive experiences to enhance visitor engagement and thrill.

Large-scale “mega parks” dominate the

theme park industry by attracting the majority of guests with their state-of-the-art rides and immersive environments. However, smaller parks, often categorised as Tier 3, also play a key role in driving regional market growth. The expanding middle class, increasing urbanisation, and rising tourism spending are primary factors fuelling the overall growth of the theme park sector. Currently, ticket sales account for around

52% of the industry’s total market share, and this segment is poised for significant growth.
