Attraction Industry Update for Asia Region
For the Asia region, 2024 was a year of continued recovery from the pandemic with strong results in part of Asia and challenges in China with slow consumer spending. Chris Yoshii, Vice President, AECOM, reports.

– Shanghai Disneyland had a great year in 2023 and expected to equal that performance in 2024. Shanghai Disneyland remains a popular destination,
and Disney is committed to investing in its long-term growth. The Zootopia land opened in December 2023 and has become one of the most popular theme lands. Shanghai Disneyland announced a new Spider-Man-themed roller coaster on August 11, 2024. This will be the park’s first major Marvel attraction and is set to open in late 2025
