The family park and zoo in Germany has replaced its old coaster with a brand-new rhinocerous themed unit from Technical Park

The project

T

he Batukai Racer is a rhino themed family roller coaster powered by gravity, reaching a maximum speed of 16 m/s and designed to admit children

from 90 cm when accompanied by an adult. According to Technical Park, the family ride has

elements usually reserved for the extreme coaster category, including: “a full set of steering axles to always allow the best contact of the wheels and prevent stress on the shafts; a body shaped seat shell with independent restraints for a very effective and comfortable containment; a chain with a silenced anti roll back system while getting the car up to about 15 metres of the total height; and magnetic brakes for a perfect smooth control of the arrival to the station area. Each car is designed to accommodate four passengers

so the total capacity of the train is 20 passengers. The rhino theme was specially requested Serengeti Park & Zoo, but other themes are possible; Technical Park says it has another unit under construction for a different client with a more classical goldmine concept. The ride is TUV approved and available with self- standing base, “a simplified very easy installation

Were there any other partners involved? The theming was developed internally at Technical Park here in Italy; the creative department has been one of our most significant investments in the last 10 years. This has allowed us to increase our ranking and become an
