on mucha actividad en la industria de juegos, la región latinoamericana ha seguido progresando, principalmente por la decisión presidencial en Brasil para la concesión de la Lotex, sobre lo cual una breve nota abajo. Sin dejar de lado, por
supuesto, los alcances de nuestros colaboradores en Brasil, donde la legislación del juego sigue marcha adelante.
Asimismo, la industria progresa en Colombia con los Pactos por la legalidad que Coljuegos sigue firmando con los gobernadores de todo el país, lo que permite el cierre y confiscación de miles de tragamonedas ilegales, además de dispositivos para apuestas deportivas ilegales.
El progreso del
juego reglamentado en Latinoamérica sigue remontando limites, y ahora la inversión en la región ya es apetecible para fondos de inversión global como Advent International, que ha llegado a un acuerdo con la familia Martínez, principal accionista en la empresa de casinos chilena Enjoy S.A. para la suscripción de “nuevas acciones” emitidas el 16 de septiembre, lo cual terminaría en la cesión mayoritaria de la empresa a favor de la estadounidense Advent.
Y así llegamos a septiembre, con un mes de preparación para
nuestra anual visita al G2E de Las Vegas, en la primera semana de octubre, donde veremos lo último que la industria tiene en reserva para todos. ¡Allá nos vemos!

The progress of regulated gaming in Latin America is no longer confined within the region’s borders, and investment in the region is now already appealing for global investors such as private capital fund Advent International, which has reached an agreement with the Martinez family, main shareholder in Chile’s casino company Enjoy S.A., for allocation of “new shares” issued on 16 September. The agreement between Advent and Enjoy would pass majority in the company in favour of the North American investors.
W
ith lots of activity in the gaming industry Latin America has continued to make progress, mainly by the presidential decision in Brazil to sell Lotex – on which a brief note below. Much more important, however,
is the report from our colleagues in Brazil, where gaming legislation is moving forward.
Colombia also shows industry advance as Coljuegos, the gaming regulator, continues its programme of Pact of Legal Gaming, signing agreements with provincial Governors across the country, which enables the shut down and confiscation of thousands of illegal slot machines as well as devices for illegal sports betting.
