IGB LIVE 2024 PREVIEW
ideas, and in the process, gain a competitive edge. We’re delighted that we have been able to secure the participation of Michel Groothuizen, the incoming chair of the Dutch regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) to make the opening address on the Pulse Stage on 17th July. It will be Michel Groothuizen’s first appearance in front of an international iGaming audience, following his appointment as Chair of the KSA effective of 1st July 2024. I believe his appearance alongside an influential line-up of more than 40 leaders and industry disrupters on the Pulse stage, speaks volumes for the growing reputation that the brand enjoys for being the home of the iGaming community. As well as that, it is the only global business event which connects leading iGaming affiliates, operators, tech vendors, game providers and suppliers.
What are you most excited for at IGB Live 2024? Will there be any surprises expected for the finale in Amsterdam?
It’s important to place on the record the contribution of the RAI, and its wonderful team for helping to get iGB LIVE to its status
as the industry’s fastest growing live event. The RAI have been amazing partners, and our success is largely their success. We have loved staging the show in Amsterdam and look forward to bringing the same spirit and energy to London. We will be using July’s edition of iGB LIVE to reflect and celebrate our time in Amsterdam and to also say a huge thanks to the RAI team. From a professional perspective, this is all about delivering the very best edition of iGB LIVE possible. The benchmark for all of this is how we perform in terms of helping our customers to achieve tangible business growth over the ensuing 12-24 months.
What potential does ExCel bring for the future of IGB Live and the iGaming industry?
There are two elements to our relocation – one is the scalability that ExCeL provides and the second relates to the benefits of being in London.
We should never forget that London is the birthplace of and remains the heart of the iGaming industry. Over 50 of the most influential companies in iGaming base
themselves in London and with over 2400 registered online gambling operators in the UK, as well as 12,000+ iGaming professionals calling London their home. It remains an industry destination for business networking, socialising, and a place where the industry meets to shape the future.
Our preparations for the move of iGB LIVE to ExCeL London comprises a roadmap of activities. This roadmap is being created to anticipate industry needs, address pain points and to secure a frictionless relocation. Our vision is to take the show to a whole new level as the industry continues to scale, and by 2028, we have targeted over 30,000 visitors, and 550+ exhibitors and sponsors. We are also working in partnership with an industry Advisory Board, made up of the most influential and pioneering stakeholders, to establish the show’s vision and growth targets. Our customers want growth and as organisers, we are always driven by their needs. ExCeL London has established a fantastic track record of helping events to fulfil their potential, and all the building blocks are in place for iGB LIVE to do exactly that.
