IGB LIVE 2024 PREVIEW Interview with Clarion Gaming

The Build up for iGB Live 2024 Amsterdam is here, and as we begin to see the event arising in the horizon, Clarion Gaming’s Naomi Barton, Portfolio Director at iGB Live 2024, provides first-come insights into what the industry can expect heading into July. She discussed organising the event, the finale of iGB in Amsterdam and what the future of the event looks like in a new and refreshing destination.

With iGB Live growing, with more involvement every year, how will iGB Live 2024 adapt to this increased surge of attendees? As an event organiser, we are always planning for growth, but growth must deliver the perfect balance between the number of exhibitors and sponsors, as well as the volume of industry professionals in attendance. It’s a simple proposition, but one which avoids a boom/bust scenario in favour of sustainable long-term expansion. I’m delighted to confirm that pre- registration is tracking more than 100% ahead at the same time last year. Drilling down into the numbers we know from the data, 40% of those who have registered, will be attending iGB LIVE for the first time, which is also up on last year’s proportion. Attracting first time visitors is an important dynamic and one which keeps the proposition fresh, on-point and compelling. New visitors in turn attract new exhibitors and ensures that we are reaching out and engaging with the

entirety of the iGaming community.

We are often told by customers that iGB LIVE is the industry’s home event and the place where crucial business connections are made. iGB LIVE 2024 has all of the ingredients in place to enhance the reputation, with attendees having free access to more than 300 exhibitors and sponsors occupying more than 21,000 square metres of gross space, 35% higher than in 2023. Every performance metric is in positive territory, and we are confident that we are well placed to hit our projected 10,000+ attendees.

Clarion always put on a show, but does it ever get easier to organise/ run events like IGB Live?

You are only as good as your last show, which means that there’s absolutely no room for complacency. We always have to keep on improving the proposition, keeping it fresh and interesting, ensuring we meet the needs of our stakeholders. The way we deliver this is by having an open dialogue with our customers, identifying what they want from

their iGB LIVE experience, sense-testing concepts and always working in partnership with the industry. There’s no value in presenting the industry with what we think it should have, when it’s a lot easier to simply ask the market what they need and then move heaven and earth to deliver it.

As always, networking will be in full force, what new incentives will be at the event to encourage attendees to ‘mingle’?

The success enjoyed at iGB LIVE is majorly due to the networking programme which sits at its core. We like to think that the networking events are more than just gatherings—they are immersive experiences that inspire connection, innovation, and celebration in a relaxed setting. Networking events over the 16-19th will include Welcome Drinks, 5km morning Run Club, Official Networking Drinks and Party, Closing Party running through to the early hours and a leisurely cruise along the iconic Amsterdam Canals. On the show floor we also have iGB INTRODUCING, the facilitated networking initiative which connects audiences, ASCEND which celebrates diversity, equity and inclusion and the iGB LaunchPad, which is an initiative which provides a promotion platform for innovative and entrepreneurial start-ups to embrace innovation.

Pulse at IGB LIVE will be returning this year after being introduced at IGB Live 2023, anything new expected for this year’s edition of Pulse? Everyone is extremely excited about the Pulse Stage, which will serve as a ‘hub’ for educational content, networking and the sharing of ideas about the future of iGaming and affiliate businesses.

Pulse provides exclusive access to the latest market insights, analysis, and state-of-the-art tools that will empower businesses to plan for the future. It’s a no-cost opportunity to connect with industry leaders, exchange
