Sun International Welcomes New Chief Marketing Offi cer


Sun International is pleased to announce the appointment of Nthabi Motsoeneng as Chief Marketing Officer. A seasoned marketing leader, she brings more than 20 years of experience driving consumer-centric brand strategies across both emerging and developed markets.


Nthabi joins Sun International from Pernod Ricard, where she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Africa and the Middle East. In that role, she led regional marketing strategy, delivering award-winning campaigns and strong commercial results. Her work has received global recognition at the Cannes Lions and WARC Awards, where she has also served as both a jury member and jury president.


Prior to Pernod Ricard, Nthabi held senior marketing leadership positions at Tetra Pak as Marketing Director for Southern Africa, as well as at Kimberly-Clark, Tiger Brands, The Coca-Cola Company, GlaxoSmithKline and SABMiller. Through these roles, she developed extensive expertise across FMCG and global brand environments.


Effective 1 June 2026, Nthabi will lead Sun


International’s marketing strategy across the group’s portfolio of urban casinos, resorts, hotels and online platforms. Her focus will include strengthening brand equity, deepening customer engagement, and supporting growth through the group’s omnichannel ecosystem.

She holds a BA in Marketing Communication and Industrial Psychology and is accredited in Lean Six Sigma and Agile Scrum methodologies.


Mozambique’s Jogabets goes with Velitech


VeliTec has announced that Jogabets, an established and licensed online betting brand in Mozambique, has successfully migrated to its iGaming core platform.


The migration marks an important step in the Jogabets growth strategy, strengthening its digital operations with a battle-tested technology ecosystem by VeliTech.
