EGT DIGITAL – CELINA GUEDES

As defined in the tender, the machines cannot include bill acceptors or any direct physical cash input. This required a complete redesign of both hardware and software to ensure full compliance with Loterj’s requirements.

What we delivered is not simply an adapted product, but a purpose-built solution tailored specifically to the regulatory and operational model of the state.

CI: Are you preparing for casino regulation in Brazil? Do you expect this to happen soon? CG: EGT does not operate casinos directly. Our role is to act as a technology partner, providing gaming equipment, systems, and operational know-how to licensed operators.

With over 24 years of experience in the global gaming industry, we are fully prepared from a technological and operational standpoint. However, in terms of regulation, we believe the timeline for land-based casinos in Brazil is still uncertain. This is a complex process that requires not only legal approval but also the creation of a structured regulatory environment, including oversight bodies and compliance mechanisms.

Considering the current political and regulatory context, we do not expect significant developments in the short term, although the long-term potential remains very strong.

CI: Will you be supplying other LatAm countries from Brazil? CG: That is definitely part of our strategic vision. If we move forward with establishing a manufacturing operation in Brazil, the country could become a key hub for servicing the wider Latin American region, including Mercosur countries and markets such as Panama and Mexico.

From a logistics and operational standpoint, this would significantly increase efficiency and competitiveness. It is a natural step as the Brazilian operation matures.

CI: What will EGT Digital showcase at BiS SiGMA South America? CG: At BiS SiGMA South America, our focus will be on showcasing the digital solutions we have developed specifically for the Brazilian market. Rather than emphasizing a single lottery brand, we will present our latest generation of machines and products, all tailored to meet local regulatory requirements – many of which have been developed and assembled in recent months. This approach reinforces our commitment to building solutions designed for Brazil, rather than simply adapting global products.

We will also highlight Panda Ventura, our flagship game, along with recent launches such as Ola Diego, further demonstrating our focus on delivering engaging, high- quality, and locally relevant content.

In addition, we will present the latest innovations and solutions from our X-Nave platform, showcasing how our technology empowers operators with a comprehensive, flexible, and future-ready ecosystem.

CI: Will EGT Digital participate in other events in Brazil? CG: We are always open to evaluating opportunities where our brand can generate strategic value.

That said, our approach is not limited to traditional exhibition formats. In many cases, we believe that targeted relationship-driven initiatives can deliver stronger results than large-scale trade show participation. So, while we will continue to assess industry events, our priority is to invest in initiatives that foster meaningful connections with operators, regulators, and key stakeholders.

CI: What are your main career goals with EGT Digital Brasil? CG: I bring over 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, which gives me a comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem — from the operator side (B2C) to the supplier and technology side (B2B).

Leading EGT in Brazil is both a great responsibility and an exciting opportunity. I have strong support from our global headquarters, and our focus is on building a solid and sustainable presence in the market. “Brazil has enormous potential, but it is not a fast-moving market. It requires patience, expertise, and resilience. This is a market where only companies with strong technological capabilities, financial structure, and deep industry knowledge will succeed in the long term.

Our goal is to position EGT as one of the key players in this evolving landscape.
