Conajzar denunciada por licitación de apuestas deportivas
A nadie le sorprendió cuando la Comisión Nacional de Juegos de Azar (Conajzar) decidió al ganador de la licitación del monopolio de las apuestas deportivas en Paraguay, volviendo a entregar el jugoso premio a la actual concesionaria, Daruma Sam que ha venido operando el sitio Apostala durante el previo periodo de cinco años. Según la Resolución Conajzar No. 48/2022, (las itálicas
porque la cifra 48 ha sido escrita a mano) publicada la Conajzar con fecha 24 de noviembre de 2022 (el 24 también escrito a mano), entregando el monopolio de las apuestas deportivas a la empresa con la menor oferta de tributos, del 22%, comparados con las ofertas de los otros dos oferentes: Consorcio B-Gaming y Gambling S.A. con 23%, y Play Tech de Paraguay, ofreciendo un 27%, la Conajzar sigue manejando el sector de juegos de azar en Paraguay al regalado gusto de oscuros intereses Las preguntas sobre el resultado de la concesión, por la forma de emitir un documento ofi cial con número y fecha que parecen actualizados para un documento preparado de antemano, con acusaciones de legisladores y de los otros concursantes, especialmente por parte del senador Blas con el fi n de “exponer las irregularidades que están vinculadas al proceso”, por parte de la Conajzar.

No one was surprised when the Paraguay’ National Gaming Commission (Conajzar) announced the winner of the tender on the monopoly of sports betting in the country. Once again, this juicy prize was awarded to the current concessionaire, Daruma Sam, for operating the Apostala site for another period of five years. According to Conajzar Resolution No. 48/2022, (the italics
because the fi gure 48 has been written by hand) published by Conajzar on November 24, 2022 (date 24 also handwritten), delivered the sports betting monopoly to Daruma Sam - the company with the lowest tax offering of 22% compared to the offers of the other two bidders - Consorcio B-Gaming y Gambling S.A. with 23%, and Play Tech of Paraguay, offering 27%. Conajzar continues to regulate the gambling sector in Paraguay to suit the darkest of interests. Questioning the result of the concession tender and about the way of issuing an offi cial document with both number and date seemingly
updated on a document prepared in advance, there have been accusations from legislators and the other bidders, and especially from Senator Blas, to “expose the irregularities that are linked to the process” as delivered by Conajzar.
