Relator de ley de casinos se une al equipo de transición de Lula
El proyecto que legaliza la ley de juegos de azar en Brasil acaba de ganar un gran refuerzo con la entrada del diputado federal Felipe Carreras, del partido Socialista Brasileño, al equipo de transición del presidente electo Lula. El diputado Carreras es el Relator del proyecto de ley de casinos PL 442/91 en la Cámara de Diputados, y es uno de los parlamentarios que más ha luchado por la aprobación de un marco legal para la legalización de casinos, bingos y la lotería callejera ilegal jogo do bicho en el país. De esta forma, el proyecto de ley PL
442/91 ha ganado un apoyo importante dentro del equipo de gobierno de transición del presidente electo Lula al formar parte del grupo de trabajo que abordará temas relacionados con el turismo para la implementación de políticas en la zona en la próxima administración. Carreras pretende defender, durante
la transición, que el gobierno de Lula apoye el proyecto de casinos como forma de aumentar la recaudación de impuestos, y aunque esta propuesta no es una prioridad para el futuro
gobierno, la legalización de los juegos de azar se vislumbra como una alternativa para la generación de empleos en un sector aún inexplorado legalmente en Brasil y una excelente fuente de recursos por su capacidad de generar impuestos. Y aunque el sector del juego no es prioridad del nuevo gobierno y tiene el rechazo de numerosos políticos cercanos al presidente electo, es innegable la necesidad de nuevas fuentes de fondos y actividades que generen empleo para reforzar el flujo de caja de la Unión. Con la regulación de todo tipo de juegos, se anticipa recaudaciones cercanas a los R$ 20 mil millones, unos US$3,820 millones, en impuestos por año.

En su ponencia del mes pasado en el 4° Congreso Internacional y 17° Descentralizado realizado por La Asociación de Hoteles, Restaurantes y Afines (AHORA Perú) en la ciudad de Arequipa, José Casapía, Gerente Corporativo de NOVOMATIC Perú, dijo que un gran porcentaje de lo que se recauda cada año por impuestos proveniente de los casinos y tragamonedas aporta a la mejora turística del país.
“En la actualidad, saliendo de la pandemia a octubre se ha
obtenido más de S/168 millones (US$43.7 millones), y de ese monto se ha entregado al MINCETUR S/26 millones. Del impuesto al juego especifico en el año 2019 se recaudó S/. 310 millones, y en el mismo año por el impuesto selectivo al

BRAZIL Casino Law Congress Proponent joins Lula’s Transition Team
The project that legalizes the gambling law in Brazil has just gained great reinforcement with the entry of Representative Felipe Carreras, of the Brazilian Socialist Party, to President-elect Lula’s Transition Team. Rep. Carreras is the Proponent of casino bill PL 442/91 in the Lower House and is one of the parliamentarians who has fought the most for the approval of a legal framework for the legalization of casinos, bingos and the illegal street lottery jogo do bicho in the country. In this way, bill PL 442/91 has gained important support within the transition government team of President-elect Lula by being part of the working group that will address issues related to tourism for the implementation of policies in this area in the next administration. government, gambling legalization is seen as an alternative for the generation of jobs in a sector still legally unexplored in Brazil, and an excellent source of resources from its ability to generate taxes.

During his presentation at the International Congress “Building the Future of Tourism in Peru”, organized by The Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Related Business (AHORA Peru) in the city of Arequipa, in November, José Casapía, NOVOMATIC Peru Corporate Manager, said that a large percentage of what is collected in taxation each year from casino and slots operators contributes to the country’s improvement of Tourism. “Currently, and coming out of pandemic restrictions, more than PERS/ 168 million (US$43.7 million) has been collected in taxes by October this year, and of that amount PERS/ 26 million has been handed over to MINCETUR, the gaming regulators.
