A la fecha no se ha nombrado viceministro de Turismo, y las señales se dan que quienes realizan buen trabajo deben asumir mayores responsabilidades para beneficio del país. Es por esto que conociendo la trayectoria del flamante ministro Valencia, saludamos a nombre de la industria de juegos global para que durante su nueva gestión continúe el progreso del juego reglamentado en su país. En junio 2017, al lado del
Director General de Casinos y Máquinas Tragamonedas, Ing. Manuel San Román Benavente, el entonces viceministro de Turismo inauguró el evento Peru Gaming Show, comentando que en el país se encontraba en proceso de preparación la legislación para la supervisión y control del juego online y las apuestas deportivas. El diligente trabajo realizado por la DGCMT para llevar a cabo la difícil gestión de reglamentar el juego online ha sido intervenido por los cambios en la administración política peruana con la renuncia del ex presidente Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, y aun cuando el sector presencial de juegos de azar peruano “ha logrado una completa legalización y formalización”, hay trabajo que hacer para que el juego online siga igual formalización, por así decirlo. El nuevo titular del Mincetur es licenciado en Turismo por la Universidad San Antonio Abad del Cusco y cuenta con una trayectoria de más de treinta años en el sector turismo, y también ha sido promotor de iniciativas turísticas innovadoras, comprometidas con el desarrollo de las comunidades y la sostenibilidad ambiental de las zonas de intervención. Asimismo, fue presidente de la Cámara Regional de Turismo del Cusco (CARTUC) y miembro del Consejo Consultivo de Turismo Cuida, asociación comprometida con la responsabilidad social, cultural y ambiental en el sector turismo. Además, se ha desempeñado como consultor internacional y miembro de la Asociación Civil Transparencia.
BOLIVIA – AJ decomisa cien tragamonedas ilegales U
n centenar de tragamonedas que operan de forma ilegal en la ciudad boliviana de Santa Cruz de la Sierra, fueron decomisadas en varios allanamientos
realizados por personal de la Autoridad de Fiscalización y Control Social de Juego (AJ), junto a funcionarios de la Policía de Anticorrupción, el pasado martes 3 de abril y la noche del miércoles 4 de abril, cuando la AJ decomisó un total de 100 máquinas de juegos instaladas en 4 casas de juego ilegal de la ciudad de Santa Cruz. BOLIVIA – AJ seizes 100 illegal slot machines O
ne hundred slot machines, that were operating illegally in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz, were seized in several raids carried out by personnel of
the country’s regulatory agency, Autoridad de Fiscalización y Control Social de Juego (AJ), supported by officers of the anti-corruption police. On the evenings of April 3rd and 4th, the AJ seized a total of 100 gaming machines installed in 4 illegal gambling dens, as the properties did not have the appropriate permits for this type of activity. AJ Executive Director, Jessica Saravia, said: “In two days of operations we have confiscated 100 gambling machines. On Tuesday (April 3) there were two raids on two homes, one located in Villa Primero de Mayo, and another on the coastal road Litoral zona tercer anillo, where we confiscated 35 machines in total and today, in another raid, there were 44 machines seized on Calle los Batos, zona Av.
