eading manufacturers, operators and professionals from across the UK & Europe were quick to demonstrate their enthusiasm and desire to win a prestigious accolade by putting themselves in the running when entries and nominations opened in August.

These entries, subject to meeting the relevant criteria for each category, proceeded to the first step of the decision- making stage: the online vote. Between November 18 and December 16, industry professionals were invited to make their voices heard by submitting a vote for the products and operators that that they deemed to be the very best. This vote was instrumental in determining who would be

shortlisted in both the ‘Operator’ and ‘Product’ categories, which will be revealed on the dedicated British Casino Awards website shortly. From these shortlists, a panel of independent industry figures – selected for their unrivaled knowledge and expertise – will determine a rightful winner in each category. Additionally, the judging panel will be the only determining

factor in who will take home the following accolades: Corporate Training Investment Award, Rising Star, CHIPS Community Engagement Awards, Casino International Outstanding Contribution Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and the CHIPS Corporate Community Engagement Award. The only exception to this rigorous decision-making

process is Best UK Casino Restaurant of the Year. In this particular category alone, consumers are invited to vote along with industry professionals to determine the shortlist and, ultimately, the winner. Voting for Best UK Casino Restaurant of the Year remains open, so those that have yet to cast their vote are encouraged to do so before the deadline of Friday, 3 January 2020.

Join the gaming industry for an unforgettable night of celebration & networking

The British Casino Awards will reach its apex on Tuesday 4 February, as leading figures from across the sector gather to discover who will be crowned the winner in each of this year’s categories. Established as a key date on any industry professional’s calendar and revered as an unmissable networking event, the ceremony will return to the heart of the city following the opening day of ICE London – the world’s gaming innovation showcase. The May Fair, London will provide a stunning backdrop for

the 2020 event. Celebrated for its elegance and charm, and with a rich history of hosting extravagant parties, the award-winning venue will no doubt set the scene for an unforgettable night. Event director, Paul Ryder comments: “When we launched the British Casino Awards, we wanted to make sure that the ceremony was an incredible night for everyone in attendance – whether they’re in the running to win or not. Having an incredible venue is essential in making sure guests enjoy a first-class experience, and I have no doubts that The May Fair will deliver just that.”
