What’s trending in bathrooms? W

e know from collaborating closely with our retailer partners that

customers, particularly those who may have been in the couch-planning stage for a little while, are now choosing to invest in future-proofing their homes. Space saving solutions and products that allow

for easy maintenance and increased cleanliness are becoming increasingly sought after and this is more prevalent than ever, particularly when it comes to bathroom furniture and fixings. From wall-hung furniture and modular storage

to innovative surface and ceramic coatings - fabulous functionality, beautifully packaged remains firmly at the top of the agenda. Driven by the ongoing desire to create zones in

our homes where we can switch off and unwind from the stresses and strains of everyday life, we’re seeing demand increasing for delicate colour palettes and pared back surface finishes such as hickory, oak, and slate – textures which immediately add warmth and create the ambience of luxury.

More and more, customers are looking to

emulate the essence of a spa-retreat at home which can be easily achieved by making the most subtle of changes. The power of biophilic design and introducing plants into the bathroom remains increasingly popular and helps us to gleam the restorative qualities of the great outdoors whilst staying warm inside. Lighting is also vital when creating a relaxing

atmosphere. As well as primary fixtures, customers can opt for additional dimmable options to provide both the bright light of a beauty station or to cast a soft glow across the room. Combining carefully chosen ceramics that keep

our essentials tidy, subtle textures, paired with soft furnishings, dimmable lights and our favourite house plants can help customers create the ultimate sanctuary space – the epitome of luxurious retreat in the comfort of their own homes.

And what’s to come from Geberit? T

he Geberit ONE bathroom series is expanding with the introduction of a

new range of basin and cabinet solutions, combining Geberit’s sanitary technology know-how and design skills in an industry- first solution for the bathroom. The new Geberit ONE washbasin cabinet and

washtops have an impressive range of individual design options, allowing customers to plan the exact amount of storage space they require to create their dream bathroom. Choose from a single or double washbasin with washbasin cabinet or with a minimalist washtop to come up with a bespoke solution.

Three new washbasin variants feature in the

series – a standard and slim washbasin available in a range of sizes as well as a lay-on washbasin, in two different designs, rectangular or bowl. The washbasin designs are fitted with a new,

innovative, or classic space saving waste system. Washbasins with a classic waste have a ceramic cover with an integrated comb insert and those with an innovative waste have a die cast zinc integrated comb insert. Both can be removed with ease to clean. The innovative waste has been tailored to the design of the washbasins and is cleverly positioned at the back edge of the bowl reducing water and limescale residue.

Thanks to space-saving technology, additional

room is created in the upper drawer of the washbasin cabinet. The hidden overflow also allows the washbasin to be filled without the risk of water overflowing. What’s more, the washbasin cabinets are

available in eight different colourways and finishes including white matt or gloss, sand grey, greige, lava, black and two décor finishes: oak and hickory wood textured melamine. The washtops are also available in a large variety of finishes including black and white marble look, making it possible to create functional, aesthetic unity between the ceramic basin, tap and the washbasin cabinet or washtop.
