A source of support and stability I

oug Jones has joined the business as Area Manager for the South London, whilst Michelle Screen is covering the South Wales and Gloucester area.

Both join with vast sales experience from within the bathroom industry and are already making a difference in their respective new areas.

t’s a well-worn maxim that uncertainty is loathed by the leaders of industry. Uncertainty creates a drag on innovation and investment. It slows growth and blots profit.

In uncertain times, industry tends to look to its trade association for support and stability (and vital information) to help them through it all. Lawful collective support can ensure that businesses can keep on top of all the changes which may be heading their way.

The Bathroom Manufacturers Association has developed a reputation for providing such support and stability. The BMA is the ‘go-to’ trade association for help and information on both technical and marketing aspects of the business and recent growth in its membership base is testament to the work which the BMA has been doing.

The latest affiliate member to sign to the association is GM Distribution of Milton Keynes. The company is a leading supplier of building, plumbing and construction materials, trading from nearly 500 locations, employing approximately 4,500 staff and generating a turnover in excess of £1bn. “We’re delighted to welcome GMGB” says Yvonne Orgill, CEO of the BMA. “Our association continues to grow and we now have well over one hundred major bathroom brands in the association’s portfolio. We know that our new affiliate member will make a major contribution to the work of the BMA.”

This latest signing will help make the Bathroom and Kitchen Industry Business Conference, on Tuesday 17 October 2017 at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield, the most important yet, discussing how our industry can respond to the uncertainty which the recent political and cultural changes have created.
