Comfort Height Toilets are becoming the choice for all…
W
hen Joseph Bramah designed the modern toilet in 1778, the average height of a man was 5’6”. Today modern man stands at around 5’10”, yet this increase in height has not been matched by changes to toilets; which have remained around the same height for the last 250 years.

Due mainly to changes in legislation surrounding accessible WC’s and in particular document M of the building regulations, toilets with an increased height have grown in demand and these products have now started to make their way into domestic bathrooms. This new generation of WC’s have taken the traditionally commercial design and modernised it making comfort height toilets a viable option for all modern bathrooms.
An average toilet pan is 400mm high, and this dimension hasn’t changed in over 200
years. The new comfort height toilets from Lecico add around 40mm in additional height, which when added to the height of a typical toilet seat makes a far more comfortable seating position of around 475mm to 500mm. It’s a small increase that makes a big difference for all ages of users, but especially appreciated by our growing ageing population.

Atlas Professional Comfort Height WC’s from Lecico Bathrooms

ew for 2017, the ‘Round’ and ‘Square’ design Comfort Height WC’s from Lecico are proving to be a popular choice for both the builder and home-owner.
