KITCHENS, DOORS & CARCASSES

Kitchens by Design I

nstalling a new kitchen is of course a huge investment, not just in monetary

value but in time, effort and disruption. This is why consumers are doing their research and are becoming increasingly style, design and quality savvy. Instagram and Pinterest are certainly playing their part in this. Which is great! These are very strange times and we are all

spending more time at home, and the kitchen is the very beating heart of the home. This means that as manufacturers and retailers we need to pay even greater attention to what home owners need and are looking for – and where possible pre-empting that need. We have to be a step ahead. Kitchen designers, manufacturers, installers and

retailers have to consider even more forensically how a new kitchen will be used, for example will

the owners be working from home? Will the kids need space for on-line learning? Is there enough space for dining? Is an Island required and if so does it need a hob? Is a double-sink necessary? Is there enough storage capacity for less frequent shopping? And of course, (when the quality is as good as ours) will they still love this kitchen in 20 years’ time!? We are at such an exciting juncture in the

evolution of the kitchen, particularly in terms of materials, colours and layout. Now absolutely nothing need be left to chance. The new finishes incorporating glass, ceramics and concrete make designing a kitchen much more than just putting carcasses together. Kitchen design is now an art form.

We would always advise that a consumer

should spend as much as they can on a new kitchen because quality really does equal longevity

Mereway Kitchens –The Year of the Launch A

t Mereway Kitchens we know we are operating at the very heart of the

UK Kitchen manufacturing sector. We believe we have considerably raised the bar in terms of innovative design, craftsmanship and customisation. Despite all the challenges of this year so far, (and I’m sure we don’t need to go into details!) we have been able to ensure that 2020 has still been the ‘year of the launch’, with launches across our Mereway kitchen portfolios; Cucina

Colore, Town and Country and English Revival. New Trend launch to follow shortly. We unveiled our Cucina Colore’s new Q-Line collection at KBB in March, which was extremely well received. In September we launched Cambridge, a modern shaker style kitchen, to both our Cucina Colore and Town and Country ranges. We have high hopes for this new design as it is totally unique and offers retailers something very different whilst not moving too far from what customers are used to.

In the next few weeks our new Trend range of

products will be reaching the retailer and we are very excited about this. We have listened to what our retailers are looking for and we believe we are delivering, with stunning new door styles, new door and worktop finishes, new ceramicware and of cause new handles. Watch this space!
