BATHROOM FURNITURE Paul Jacobs

Zaneti

Matt Broughton spoke with Zaneti’s MD, Paul Jacobs, about the year so far, and plans for the rest of 2024.

Z

aneti has high hopes for 2024, and it has not disappointed so far: “there is still a lot of work to do but the brand is starting to get the recognition it deserves,” says MD, Paul Jacobs, “we expect to grow by 30% this year and are on course to exceed that. Zaneti is all about Good Quality, UK Made Bathroom furniture at the right price, backed up by a fast and efficient service.”

Zaneti launched two new ranges in January; the first is ‘Concept’ a wall hung fluted range with J Pull Handle in three on-trend matt finishes. “It is a hard product to get right due to the design, but we feel we have achieved that, and the early signs are very good,” explains Paul. The second range is the addition of New England to Zaneti’s fitted furniture collection: “it’s a thinner Shaker design available in three pastel finishes; again, the uptake has been very strong.”

As far as Paul is concerned, 2024 is all about Fluted and Shaker designs, along with Natural Woods: “we think customers want more character from their furniture now, whether

that be a fluted design following the trend of slatted wall panels or a more contemporary take on the shaker design,” he explains. “We are seeing the demand for natural wood grains increase significantly, with Natural Oak and Walnut leading the way. Also, the softer pastel matt finishes are being preferred over deeper, darker colours. We are about to launch Walnut in our Soho range, adding a darker option to the best-selling Natural Oak.”

We think customers want more character from their furniture now

I ask Paul if he has any personal favourite amongst Zaneti’s various products. “It has to be the Soho in Natural Oak; it has been our most successful product launch at Zaneti to date. It has a wide fluted frontal that works perfectly with the Natural Oak finish; we did not want to spoil the design by adding handles, so it comes with a Blum push-to-open drawer box

for the wall hung options and push-to-open doors for the floor-mounted. It has far exceeded expectations and surprisingly outperformed the matt finishes of Natural Beige and Henley Blue.”

When asked for a favourite colour, Paul makes a beeline for Sage green (which is available in the Concept and New England ranges) “there are a lot of greens on the market - and we do several - but this just ticks all the boxes and is proving to be very popular.”

When it comes to sustainability, Zaneti is a proud member of Made in Britain, “it’s important to us that all our furniture is made here in the UK using materials from FSC-approved UK forests; it vastly reduces your carbon footprint when purchasing Zaneti Furniture over Imported alternatives.

We are just over an hour away from the forests where the materials come from to make our Furniture - it can’t get much better than that in terms of a products Carbon Journey.” All of Zaneti’s furniture also comes with fully recyclable packaging, with everything going into customers’ recycling bins, making the whole process more environmentally friendly and easier for the customer.

And what of the rest of 2024? “It’s exciting times at Zaneti,” says Paul. “The team work very hard to constantly improve our offering; we have several range additions and a full new range launch planned for July. You can expect more Fluted, more Woods and more Floor standing options.”
