INDUSTRY UPDATE THE KBSA COLUMN THE TILE ASSOCIATION COLUMN

Kbsa boosts membership with five new retail members and one corporate member

T

he Kbsa has boosted its membership this month with the addition of five new retail members and one corporate

member. The five retail members are located across the UK and include;

Showcase Kitchens Ltd in Brighton, Anderson Sinclair Ltd in Essex, Prestige Kitchens in Cheshire, Henry Rose Interiors in Cambridgeshire and Kitchen Shoppe with two showrooms in North Harrow and Richmond. The corporate member is KH System Möbel, a manufacturer of

quality German kitchens. KH Systems Möbel was established in 1987 and has built a reputation for affordable designer kitchens with British retailers. Matt Hall, UK sales manager at KH System Möbel said, “We are

delighted to have joined the Kbsa and are looking forward to working with them to support the KBB industry and independent retailers”. “It has been a challenging year but we are driving forward our plans

for sensible growth, looking for design led retailers that want to work closely with a unique, quality German manufacturer. We offer a huge amount of flexibility and innovative design. Our ability to supply bespoke units, across an unlimited range of colours, finishes and price points, offers many benefits and advantages to our retailers.” Kbsa national chair Richard Hibbert said, “I am pleased to welcome

these six new members into the association. Whilst it has been a challenging year, membership growth has never been stronger for the Kbsa, with 29 new members so far this year. This reflects the commitment we have made to work with the government on behalf of the sector, and provide members with invaluable support and business services.”

Entries are now open for the 2021 TTA Awards!

T

he Awards event is due to take place on 10 September at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole – the venue which

worked so well for TTA in 2019. For this year, there will be additional space and new attractions, so the Awards look set to be the best ever. Please have a good think about whether you can enter this year. There

are a number of categories which are relevant to the bathroom and kitchen sector. Whatever your achievement, there is an Award category made for you! For the full list of categories, and also the online entry form, please visit the Awards website at www.ttaawards.com. TTA can also announce that this year’s Awards already have an impressive number of Gold sponsors, to whom TTA is very grateful. They are: Banks & Lloyd, JACKOBOARD, Mapei, Norcros Adhesives, Palace Chemicals, PCS, Shackerley (Holdings) Group Ltd., UltraTileFix and Verona.

These brands recognise that by sponsoring the Awards, they are not

only benefitting from one of the best sponsorship properties around, but they are also supporting excellence and achievement in the tiling sector. If you wish to join them, TTA would be delighted to hear from you! The Awards are free to enter and the rewards for winning are considerable for your business, including the right to use your achievement in your own marketing activities. Winning a TTA Award is highly prestigious and carries considerable kudos, as any previous winner will be able to tell you. Keep an eye on the Awards website for further information, including

confirmation of the judging panel and other critical dates that you need to know, but for now we look forward to receiving your entries any time. As in previous years, the TTA Awards will raise money for our

nominated charity Children Today and will also take place on the same day as The Tiling Show, which will be held in an adjoining suite of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. More detail on these events to follow in due course.
