From flooring to bathroom wall panels, IDS offer a complete surfacing solution
S
pecialist surface materials distributor IDS is looking optimistically to the year
ahead with a range of new products coming on board from its brand partners in flooring, worksurfaces and wall panelling. With the increased appetite among consumers
for home improvement projects, IDS is poised to respond with its comprehensive product portfolio spanning flooring, worktops, bathroom wall panelling, high-pressure laminate, solid surface and decorative panel, as well as sinks and taps. The company offers over 12,000 product lines available ex-stock to suit any project and budget, available from its 18 branches nationwide. The company is extending the choice of its
luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring portfolio, in response to the growing appeal of LVT as a practical alternative to hardwood and stone flooring and the consumer’s heightened interest in hygienic and easy to clean surfaces in the home. The Malmo™ LVT range is being updated with
13 new stickdown plank, herringbone, and tile designs available from March, adding to its extensive
choice of Senses, rigid and stickdown product that gives ultimate design and installation flexibility. In addition, IDS has secured a new flooring partner in BerryAlloc®, bringing a new dimension to the UK LVT market with multidirectional installation and strong environmental credentials across a range of on-trend tile and plank designs. In worksurfaces, there will be brand new
relaunches of the Formica® Axiom and Prima high pressure laminate ranges reflecting the latest designs and textures and the material’s inherent benefits of high performance, easy installation and value for money. Responding to heightened interest in its
bathroom wall panelling products since hygiene moved up the list of priorities during lockdown, IDS is set to expand its Panelstyle offer with the addition of both a Narrow and Premium design collection into Splashpanel, as well as extensions of the popular metro tile designs, and brand-new mosaic decors within the Proplas range. IDS also expect interest in its Showerwall brand to continue to grow in 2021, thanks to its broad
design appeal and easy maintenance properties. Showerwall’s acrylic panels offer large expanses of 100% waterproof surface with near invisible joints and no grout lines, leaving no hiding places for mould, dirt or germs. They deliver stylish, on trend looks quickly and easily and are available in a range of decors including bold maximalist prints, geometric patterns and Morroccan and metro tile designs. The 4mm thick rear printed panels are pattern matched in the printing process for a simple cut and fit solution. With 18 branches offering nationwide coverage,
IDS is well placed to meet retailer demands and is able to deliver core products in 24-48 hours, thanks to its extensive stockholding capability. And within each of its wood-based product categories, there are choices of FSC® and PEFC™ certified products.
