Bushboard re-affirms its commitment with major investment programme

The CRM recruitment takes the team to six and the office refit has included the installation of new training facilities and state-of-the-art customer relations technology. The software helps to ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with promptly and allows the team to pro-actively keep in regular contact with Bushboard’s retail partners.

Research reveals a surprising trend

S

pring is always a great time to review what’s trending in the industry but it’s rare that something really surprising hits the headlines. However, the last twelve months have seen one interesting trend which is set to continue and grow in importance. Recent research, led by the Energy Saving Trust, shows an increasing number of consumers are looking for the energy and water consumption characteristics of bathroom products before they hand over their hard- earned cash. They want to know how much it will cost them, in the long run, to use their new bathroom. In their UK Pulse 2016 Survey www.energysavingtrust.org.uk the Trust considered consumer attitudes towards energy. Over 2000 homeowners were questioned and nearly 90 per cent of them who have completed home improvements in the last three years have made energy efficiency upgrades. When doing a major renovation, nearly 40 per cent of them would be willing to spend over £1,000 on additional improvements to make their home more energy efficient. Since 25% of all energy in the home is spent on heating water then it follows that bathrooms come high on their list of priorities. Manufacturing members of the BMA have been designing products with improved performance and reduced consumption of resources for a number of years. Digitally controlled products are increasingly available, exemplifying their effectiveness at keeping water temperature constant. These products are helping consumers become more aware of how much water/energy they are using.

Manufacturers have listed the characteristics of these new products in the voluntary European Water Label Scheme ( www.europeanwaterlabel.eu ) giving bathroom buyers honest statistics to aid their choice. There remains a desire for luxury and pampering but now, using the stats, they can find a ‘total solution’ by offsetting higher consuming products with others of lower consumption.

It’s the new trend and there is no stopping it.

The fulfilment centre holds a large stock of samples and brochures for all Bushboard’s kitchen and bathroom surface collections, which can be ordered with a fast turnaround. Bushboard’s investment in online design tools allows retailers to help customers visualise multiple combinations of surfaces in their kitchen and bathroom to support them in their decision making.
