Appletree plans further investment in 2017 B
ased in Newton Aycliffe in County Durham, Appletree Joinery Products Ltd have been producing timber based kitchen accessories for over 25 years and now supply some of the major kitchen companies across the United Kingdom with all their specialist timber accessories, such as wine and plate racks, pilasters, feature end panels, canopies, mantels, cornice, pelmet, plinth and more. Appletree operate from two sites amounting to 50000sf, with one factory solely for high volume product painting. The company has invested heavily in the last couple of years with new CNC routers and automated paint finishing lines in order to improve quality of products, but also be able to take on larger volume contracts. With the effect of the Euro pushing imported goods prices higher, Appletree have found themselves much more price competitive and are anticipating that 2017 will be a year with need for further expansion.
