INTERVIEWWITH THEO CONSTANTI Q&A
of it. I enjoy learning and growing; reading is one of my favourite hobbies, and I realised early on that if you read the right things, you can apply them to work and business. Every milestone since has
come through hard work, loyal customers, and the support of a brilliant team, so awards like this are incredibly special.
The awards, run by the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and Leonard Cheshire, recognise outstanding disabled entrepreneurs who have built successful businesses while overcoming significant barriers. As part of the judging process, Theo was personally interviewed by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of easyJet. Theo has committed £30,000 of the prize money to three causes close to his heart: £10,000 to launch a young entrepreneur competition, giving the next generation of
business talent in Hertfordshire a platform and the funding to get started £10,000 to Noah’s Ark Trust, supporting the vital work the charity does for local
children and families £10,000 to establish a grassroots girls’ football league, creating new opportunities
for young women in sport across the region The win comes as The Marble Group continues its remarkable growth journey,
having established itself as one of the region’s leading stone fabrication and installation companies, while collecting multiple national industry awards over the past 12 months.
Matt: You’ve also had a documentary team following you on this journey; how has that experience been? Theo: It’s been a unique experience. Having cameras around takes some getting used to, but if sharing my story inspires even one person to keep pushing forward, it’ll have been worth it. It was amazing to be part of it, and the awards need to be shouted about more. The work Stelios does for entrepreneurs and charities is just incredible.
Matt: What’s next for yourself and TMG? Theo:We’re focused on continuing to grow The Marble Group, investing in our people and facilities, and creating more opportunities for our local community. Personally, I want to keep growing and sharing my example to young people that disability doesn’t define what you’re capable of. I have really enjoyed helping other businesses (like the kitchen retailers we work closely with) and am looking forward to the next part of our journey!
