Spectron's LuminLinear Twilight lights up the way toward a greener future


Spectron LED Ltd is a supplier of commercial grade LED lighting components, illuminated built up letters, logos, trough lights and neon signs. Established in 2010 by a sign maker with over 40 years industry experience, Spectron LED has positioned itself as a market leading innovator of LED sign lighting and trough lights within the UK.


Spectron saw the potential to create bold, unique signage and display solutions soar with the rapid development of LEDs in the early 2000s; and with LED technology lasting longer than ever and being extremely energy efficient, a decision was made to combine this knowledge of sign making and love of inventing with a new found passion for LED technology.


Today, Spectron LED stocks a wide range of high quality lighting components which have been developed and tested by us. The majority of these products have been specifically selected for use within the sign making industry, though can be and often are used in other industries such as interior design, architecture and exhibitions.

Lumenlinear Twilight LED Trough Light


Speaking with Ivan about new products in their range, he tells us about the new addition to the trough light range. "After years of dedicated research and development, Spectron has added the revolutionary Lumenlinear Twilight to their LED Trough Light collection. This innovative design eliminates the need for rugged projection fixing bars that have been a staple for nearly half a century. The Twilight is available as a modular system, offering three sizes (977mm, 655mm, and 335mm) to cater to diverse signage requiring consistent light coverage over large depth, suitable for general signage, billboards or exhibition walls."


Ivan elaborates on the key features of the Lumenlinear Twilight that makes it stand out. "Our modular system comes with three

size options, with waterproof connectors integrated into each individual length, which is a necessity for any external lighting system."


Ivan continues, "With each choice of size, we have ingenious fixing methods for ease of installation. Easy customization through vinyl wrapping, eliminates the need for energy-intensive powder coating and a single driver for up to 10m length, reduces the need for multiple drivers. All of this, along with a sustainable design, bespoke and minimised packaging reduces the cost for transportation."


Asking Ivan where has the Lumenlinear Twilight received the most attention, Ivan replies, "Designed for simplicity and sophistication, the Twilight LED Trough Light has already gained popularity in exhibition stands, redefining the landscape of sign illumination."


Upgraded LED Curtain


When we ask what was the driving force to develop this new addition to their range, Ivan says, "Building upon the success of our bestseller, the LED Curtain, Spectron has enhanced the design to reduce manufacturing costs and streamline installation. features extra LED diodes to provide an even spread of light for light boxes starting from 5cm. This improvement promises to reduce installation time by over 50%."


Expanding on the key upgrades from their earlier products, Ivan tells us "There is now increased automation in manufacturing for cost efficiency. We have included additional LED diodes for an even spread of light, with each bar being cuttable to every two LED diodes. The cables are also soldered on both ends for easy installation and to avoid any need of soldering. All of this makes the Lumenlinear Twilight suitable for both internal and external light boxes."
