Antalis at the forefront of sustainability and performance
Antalis is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of Visual Communication substrates and has an extensive portfolio of sustainable rigid and flexible materials ideal for using across POP/POS, exhibition and events, retail store design, marketing and much more.
Speaking with Claire White, Antalis Specification Consultant, she tells us, "Antalis was thrilled to launch Xanita aspect in October 23 as we wanted to offer a completely new fibreboard to the market. Xanita aspect represents a step forward in sustainable signage, as its construction is far from that of a traditional honeycomb board and is born from Xanita and Antalis’ dedication to innovation and sustainability.
Its ability to withstand the rigours of wide format printing and everyday handling also ensures exceptional print results. Xanita aspect contains no harmful chemicals or VOCs, making it a safe and environmentally friendly choice for businesses and is awarded the maximum rating of five stars on the Antalis Green Star System™."
Lightweight and strong, Xanita is the ideal solution for a wide range of decorative and structural applications
"At Antalis, we believe that sustainability and performance should go hand in hand. Xanita aspect is a great example that meets the demands of the printing industry and aligns with our commitment to ESG goals"
Alongside Xanita, we asked Claire about the other products that Antalis supply. Claire responded with "We have an extensive range of sustainable rigid materials particularly across our fibre and polypropylene categories including Xanita, Katz, Libra and Eska Black display boards. Outdoor solutions include Katz Outdoor and Libra Weatherboard options (fibre) and Exten Prime Ex Opaque, Exten HMPP, Triaprint and Priplak, all manufactured from
polypropylene, a widely recyclable plastic that can continue to be recycled time and time again. All our materials are awarded a green star rating to support sustainable customer selection."
With sustainability in mind, we wanted to know how the products they supply are sustainably made, yet can remain rigid. Claire says, "While Xanita aspect is designed for signage applications, it is far from a typical honeycomb board. Leveraging the same ‘closed cell’ core design as Xanita's premium board products, it delivers unmatched strength, durability, and rigidity.
Xanita aspect comes in two types; aspect Print, with a white liner made from over 90% post-consumer paper and aspect Kraft, with a brown liner, is made from 100% post-consumer paper, reducing the strain on natural resources."
Claire expands on what the launch of Xanita board means for Antalis, "Its launch represents a step forward in sustainable signage solutions as it is engineered to cater to the evolving needs of businesses while minimising their environmental footprint. Xanita aspect has been priced in-line with competing honeycomb boards making it a truly economical choice. By choosing Xanita aspect, companies can also align their sustainable goals alongside high performance solutions."
Finally, we asked Claire what she sees for the future of Antalis and its sustainable mission with the signage industry. Claire concludes, "Antalis will continue to remain dedicated in bringing innovative and sustainable materials to market in turn continuing to support their customers."
