Linney chooses Kudu to drive print innovations
Creative marketing agency Linney has added the state-of-the-art Kudu flatbed printer from swissQprint to its portfolio to enhance customer offerings in high- resolution and sustainable printing.
Established in 1851 as a bookstore, family-owned business Linney has evolved into a renowned multifaceted creative marketing group. With expertise in print, logistics, and high-end creative, the agency has been giving brands the edge for decades.
Continuous investment
Linney’s long-standing approach to investment, often referred to within the business as “patient capital”, underscores its long-term commitment to delivering innovation for customers, employees, and suppliers. Over the past decade, the company has invested approximately £30 million. The addition of the large format printer Kudu highlights its dedication to pushing client boundaries.
Linney’s leadership team first encountered the Kudu at this year’s FESPA exhibition, and it quickly became evident that the machine’s capabilities would be an indispensable addition to their printing. Charles Linney, Executive Director at Linney, is delighted with the new investment: “The Kudu is more than just a printer; it offers an exceptional level of quality for us, particularly with its range of colours. It not only complements our existing printers but also offers our customers special features that are now essential in a highly competitive market.”
A cutting-edge addition
With its roll to roll and dual roll capabilities, 304m² per hour output, and 10 colour channels, the Kudu represents a cutting- edge addition to Linney’s large-format printing arsenal. It enables striking, high- quality print, and attention-grabbing visual materials. Vibrant backlit images with neon colours coupled with the Kudu’s creative print effects, including 2pt text, 3D effects, haptic (tactile) printing, white and spot varnish, will usher in new possibilities for the business.
Furthermore, its vacuum system firmly secures substrates, enabling the Kudu to print on a wide range of rigid materials. Wood, fluted boards, aluminium composite panels and acrylics can all be effectively
Sustainable collaboration
