FESPA Review SOYANG

Soyang Europe was delighted to welcome so many visitors to the stand during the four days of the 2026 FESPA Global Print Expo. There was a high level of interest in both the material and hardware solutions among attendees.

One of Soyang’s key goals at FESPA 2026 was to showcase some of its latest

materials, including the new blackback (ST-216PXS) and backlit textiles (ST-6011S). Exhibiting at the event allowed the company to showcase firsthand how these products can support users across a host of applications and markets.

Secondly, FESPA 2026 was the ideal opportunity to promote the company’s new status as the official distributor for Platinum Technologies LIYU in the UK, with

confirmation of the deal coming just weeks prior to the event. Visitors were able to see several machines in action on the show floor.

Highlights included the new Signature flatbed, which can run at a production speed of 450m sq/hr in two-pass production mode and produce output at a resolution of 1200dpi. Soyang also ran live demonstrations of the new Signature hybrid, which has a maximum printing width of 3.3m, opening up a wide range of markets to users. In addition, we saw high interest in the Signature R5300, which has a production speed of 270m sq/hr.

Overall, the show went very well, with great interest across both Soyang’s material and hardware solutions. It had plenty of positive conversations about how Soyang can work with customers to help them achieve their printing goals.

MIMAKI

It was all positive for Mimaki at FESPA this year as it used the event to demonstrate how digital printing technology can help businesses diversify their offerings, improve production flexibility and unlock new growth opportunities. Under the theme ‘Print Different – Powering Possibilities’, the company

transformed its stand into a series of application-focused experience areas, designed to showcase real-world production environments and highlight the practical benefits of its latest technologies across sign graphics, textiles, personalisation and industrial printing.

According to Mimaki, the event provided an ideal platform to engage directly with customers and demonstrate how innovation can support evolving business needs. Through live demonstrations, workflow showcases and a wide range of printed applications, visitors were able to explore new opportunities across multiple market segments.

One of the standout attractions on the stand was the international tradeshow debut of the UJ330H-160 hybrid UV printer. Designed to combine roll-to-roll and rigid printing capabilities within a single platform, the system attracted significant interest from print businesses looking to expand application possibilities while maximising production efficiency and floor space.

Mimaki used the event to demonstrate how hybrid technology can support a broad range of applications, including signage, point-of-sale, display graphics, packaging and interior décor. The company also highlighted positive early customer feedback, with users praising the machine’s print quality, reliability and ability to deliver consistent results across a variety of media types. Another major launch was the international debut of the UJV200 Series.

Developed to make UV roll-to-roll printing more accessible, the printer offers the creative flexibility associated with UV technology while maintaining the image quality for which Mimaki is known. The company believes the system will appeal to businesses looking to expand into new applications while keeping investment requirements manageable.

Reflecting on the event, Mimaki said FESPA 2026 reinforced the industry’s appetite for technologies that deliver flexibility, creativity and business growth. The company reported strong interest across its portfolio and believes the exhibition successfully demonstrated how its customer-focused innovation

strategy continues to help print providers adapt to changing market demands and explore new revenue opportunities.
