KEEPING SAFE
Infosecurity Europe 2024, held at ExCeL London, brought together the brightest minds in cybersecurity. Here’s a rundown of some of the highlights.
A
I was the obvious candidate to top the concerns at Infosec this year but, accepting that besides being a topic in its own right, it also gets into everything else, it was in fact deepfakes
that topped the hot gossip topics. Tis is something that has hit mainstream headlines in recent months, not just for celebrity victims, but also as a malicious tool as key states head into general elections. Henry Ajder, a leading authority in generative AI, delivered a
very palatable keynote that focused on the future of AI and its implications for cybersecurity. Menwhile, Jake Humphrey and Damian Hughes, renowned for their ‘High Performance Podcast’, shared their expertise on resilience and crisis management. Teir session was packed with practical tips that cybersecurity professionals can apply to enhance their strategic thinking and operational effectiveness. Finally, Claire Williams, celebrated for her leadership in Formula 1,
brought a fresh perspective on leadership dynamics and high-pressure decision-making. Her talk emphasised the importance of building a stable team when maintaining a robust cybersecurity posture. Tis year’s ‘Women in Cybersecurity’ event highlighted the contributions of women in the industry. Keynote Speaker Stephanie Hare inspired women to continue breaking down barriers in cybersecurity. Exhibitors included Keeper Security which was demonstrating
its suite of zero-trust Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions, which included Keeper Enterprise Password Manager, Keeper Secrets Manager, Keeper Connection Manager and KeeperPAM. Keeper Security is aiming to transform the way organisations of all sizes secure their

passwords, secrets and confidential information. Te easy-to-use cybersecurity platform protects every user in every location on every device, while meeting the most stringent security and compliance requirements. Keeper Security is renowned for its zero-trust and zero-knowledge security models, which provide robust protection against evolving cyber threats. Te company’s solutions are engineered to ensure that sensitive data remains secure and private, even from Keeper itself. Cybersecurity distributor Brigantia exhibited for the first
time, showcasing its growth in the sector. Exhibiting at Infosec is a significant milestone in Brigantia’s journey. It highlights the business’s growing success and solid reputation as a trusted advisor in the cybersecurity channel. Heimdal and Sendmarc, two of Brigantia’s leading vendors, also joined them. Keepit was also a first-time exhibitor and was talking about
protecting SaaS data, claiming to be the only vendor-independent cloud solution. Keepit provides data protection for all key SaaS applications in one single, vendor-independent platform. It protects data created in Microsoſt 365, Entra ID, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Azure DevOps, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Zendesk. Te company cites broad coverage of services, fast recovery times, and dedication to security backup as the secret to its success. Infosecurity Europe’s partnership with Every Child Online was
a highlight, with attendees being encouraged to bring old devices for secure disposal, contributing to closing the digital divide. RX UK donated 27 laptops to this cause, helping children improve their digital skills across a variety of local communities.
