4. Clear Pathway for Rider’s Professional Progression ● Magene’s positioning goes beyond just selling hardware; it is about selling “progression.” It covers cyclists at all stages—from recreation, fitness, enthusiasts to racing— providing a clear upgrade pathway and precisely matched equipment for every level.

What made you decide to enter the UK cycling market? The UK holds a significant weight in the international cycling industry. It possesses a long-standing and rich traditional cycling culture, with exceptionally high public participation. It’s one of the core markets in Europe and even the world. More importantly, the UK market gathers a large number of premium cycling enthusiasts with high aesthetic standards and a strong focus on data. The cycling industry is community-driven, and riders’ brand

loyalty stems from their experiences. Our entry into the UK market is aimed at bringing true value to our users—Magene’s mission is to make sure that when a cyclist in the UK reaches for that key to level up, Magene is the perfect one they reach for. Our ambition in the UK goes beyond introducing new

products. We hope to bring fresh innovation and professional value to the cycling market. We believe that the benefits of scientific training should not be limited to elite athletes but should be accessible to every rider who is passionate about improving. That is why we aim to grow alongside local partners who truly understand the cycling culture and enthusiast community. Through races, exhibitions, cycling clubs, and localised content, we hope to help more riders discover the value of data-driven training and continuous progression.

Which sector/discipline do you see the most growth in for the coming years? Power Meters: With the widespread adoption of scientific training concepts, a vast number of cycling enthusiasts are entering the advanced training phase. Riders are placing greater emphasis on professional metrics like FTP and power zones, relying on systematic power training protocols to elevate their performance, which continues to drive the escalating demand in the power meter market. Bike Computers: Major brands are focusing heavily on building a deeply integrated closed-loop cycling ecosystem, making technological integration the definitive industry trend. Bike computers are no longer a standalone accessory; they have evolved into the core hub of the entire cycling ecosystem. Leveraging exceptional performance and value, Magene bike computers provide a premium choice for the market, helping cycling enthusiasts fully enjoy the sport while constantly pushing their limits.

Customer, retailer and media feedback is crucial - what sort of response have you had so far? The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. Beginning at Core Bike Show, we could already sense an air of excitement surrounding the products and the brand, and this momentum has not yet slowed down. It feels like it’s a brand that has been needed in the market that’s been dominated by the bigger brands for a long time. Being able to bring high-quality and feature-packed cycle technology to a more affordable market has been fantastic for both the dealers and us.

When it comes to choosing new stockists in the UK, what do you look for? And what can you offer retailers? There isn’t anything specific we look for in dealers for the brand, as it’s one we offer to all our customers. The key thing we offer any of our dealers who buy into the brand is a margin which isn’t normally seen in the market, and to us, that’s key as it makes it a much more attractive proposition for the dealer. Magene is in a unique position where it can attract more

customers to the cycle technology market than what has previously been possible due to its competitive pricing and the high quality of products it creates. ●
