Sometimes I have a plan with these; mostly I write and see where I end up. It’s a bit like mountain biking in many ways. Although it’s a good idea to have a plan when riding, sometimes you just want to know where the trail goes. I often wonder if anyone takes the time to read the comment. I wonder if I should keep it more relevant to the industry, the issue, or what comes to mind. I would like to take a moment to say thank you to the team. Whilst it’s not hugely relevant to our audience, we recently attended our company (Datateam Business Media LTD) awards, and BikeBiz won ‘Publication of the Year’ and another award. And I think it’s always good to take a moment to celebrate your wins. But mostly, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who makes BikeBiz happen. It wouldn’t be possible without you. That leads me to the BikeBiz awards; by the time this is out, voting will be

open for the public categories, so please do take a moment to vote. It would be amazing to catch up with many of you in October too, so please consider getting tickets to attend; it’s always a great night! Also a great time to network and celebrate with peers. Plus, it’s nice to just take five and celebrate our industry. Continuing the point about being relevant to our audience, if you have any

story ideas, thoughts, or things you’d like to see in BikeBiz, my email is at the bottom of this page, so please do reach out. And if you haven’t already joined, get in touch about joining our WhatsApp community. This trail leads me here, to this issue. Mountain biking is a key focus in this

one, and there’s a good mix of interviews, features and brand highlights as well as a stacked sector guide. It’s a little overwhelming to think about how fast this year has gone already. So, again, please get in touch! Let us know if you want to feature, have something to say, or want to see a particular guest on the podcast. There are lots of ways to get involved in BikeBiz, and I’m always eager to hear from our audience.
