“Arcade Paradise has been set for repeat spin in the Shoemaker house, with my youngest taken with doing all the chores (picking up trash, unclogging the toilet and loading the machines), before handing me the controller when a game needs playing or some admin needs to be done. She’s six, which means she’ll be doing it all for real before too long, though I fear for her methods.”

Richie Shoemaker, Editor

“It’s been a very good month for video games, and I’ve been feeling spoiled for choice! I’ve been playing through Little Orpheus, Pac-Man World Re- Pac, Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed and TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection. My Fortnite habit also continues on, and I’m now into the platinum section of the Battle Pass. In between all that, I also somehow found time to beat Aladdin for Mega Drive three times. Why? Your guess is as good as mine, but it was bloody good fun.”

Vince Pavey, Staff Writer

“I haven’t been playing video games very much this month, but I think Vince has played enough for the both of us, from the sound of things. I took a bit of much needed time off after gamescom, but instead of gaming, I’ve been listening to a lot of music. Deafheaven, The Cure and Oceansize, mostly.”

Pet: Roary Owner: Georgia Dawson Owner’s job: Account Manager at Indigo Pearl

Roary loves curling up in a nice warm spot - whether that’s in a human’s lap or on top of the PS4. Her tail makes a regular celebrity appearance at Indigo Pearl’s team catch-ups.

Pet: Luna Owner: Steve Andrew Owner’s job: Graphic Designer at Secret Mode

Luna is a very lazy but very affectionate cat that loves nothing more than joining Steve on Teams calls and trying to get onto his laptop when he’s busy designing. Luna has a condition called heterochromia which means her eyes are different colours. (It’s rumoured she can shoot lasers out of her blue eye.)

Pet: Coco Owner: Nina Adams Owner’s job: Operations Director at Auroch Digital

Coco is the beloved studio mascot, offering a cuteness overload to anyone in need. She is an expert in cuddles and napping and though she is small, she is mighty. With her tiny legs, she can run surprisingly fast (but needs a ramp for the sofa). Coco enjoys the fame and fortune of being an international model, appearing in company quizzes and artwork. She even has a company named after her.
