2021 was another unpredictable year in games PR, one in which games almost took a backseat to everything else that was happening elsewhere in the industry: Supply shortages continued to affect hardware availability, digital conferences again outnumbered in-person events, and the breakout corporate communications story was one of workplace toxicity. Will 2022 be offering more of the same, or will the increasing noise around NFTs and the clamour for live events change the complexion of discourse in the months ahead? To get an idea, we reconvened our council of revered PR experts from the UK and beyond, who between them have more fingers on the pulse of the games industry than would ever be necessary to gauge its heath. Welcome, dear reader, to the MCV/DEVELOP PR Panel 2022!
