Montezuma’s creates chocolate wonderland with Waitrose
Chocolatier, Montezuma’s, says it is one step closer to its goal of becoming Britain’s greatest little chocolate company, after securing a deal with Waitrose to create a colourful showcase of their best-loved creations in-store. Waitrose stores in 28 locations across the country will host a dedicated Montezuma’s Chocolates Bay, giving lovers of the confectioner the chance to browse their best-loved products. The Montezuma’s bays in Waitrose will include many of their best-selling chocolate bar fl avours including popular chilli and lime fl avoured ‘Hot Pickle’, fl oral ‘Happy Hippy’ with orange and geranium, classic milk chocolate ‘Smooth Operator’ and everyone’s favourite ‘Happiness’ with salted caramelised hazelnuts. Shoppers new to Montezuma’s can try a range of their
fl avours with their Mini Bar Library or even go big with one of their giant 300g bars in Nutterscotch, Black Forest, and Happiness fl avours. The bay will aim to create an opportunity for Waitrose
customers to fi nd extraordinary gifts with a wide range of Montezuma’s hand fi nished Truffl e cartons and truffl e boxes. The range will also provide options for vegans and non-vegans alike. Montezuma’s is already planning to extend their ranges available in Waitrose so chocolate-lovers are being encouraged to keep an eye out for more exciting fl avours and gift items, in-store.
Solabia-Algatech Nutrition Ltd launches new Gummy format
Solabia-Algatech Nutrition Ltd. unveils its astaxanthin whole algae complex, AstaPure® Arava in a new gummy format as it makes strides to broaden its portfolio of astaxanthin-based products. The company will introduce the new delivery system at SupplySide West, Las Vegas, on November 2-3, booth #3640. The microalgae cultivators off er a unique, vegan,
pectin-based food supplement in a move to off er a new more fl avoursome medium for delivering its fl agship astaxanthin ingredient drawn from the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. This comes a year after the company launched its ready-to-mix AstaPure powder concept mainly targeting premix
formulations for
smoothies. The plant-based gummies are currently available as a delicious cherry fl avoured chewy treat. Each gummy houses 4 mg of the whole astaxanthin algae complex and 50 mg vitamin C and contains no preservatives or synthetic colours. One to two gummies per day can award the recommended daily dose of the two antioxidants. “Integrating our prized ingredient into gummy application was actually quite a smooth process,” revealed Dr. Omer Grundman, VP of R&D of Solabia-Algatech Nutrition. “Our AstaPure Arava powder was shown to perform well in a gel medium and the integrity and stability of its naturally occurring carotenoids remain intact.”
