Welcome to another exciting edition of Kennedy’s Confection. As always, we are thrilled to bring you a wealth of information, insightful features, and updates that are shaping the future of confectionery.
In our Industry News section (page 6), we report on the latest happenings that
are making waves across the confectionery world. Love Cocoa plans to open a store on bustling Oxford Street in London, Cox & Co sign a deal to supply Virgin Atlantic and Alvinesa acquires industrias Vinicas and Dervinsa. Our Movers and Shakers segment (page 42) the new appointments and promotions in the industry, like BENEO announcing a new CEO and Bidcorp and Cloetta making some notable changes too.
We are delighted to announce that the esteemed Simon Wright will be chairing
the London Chocolate Forum 2024 for the fourth time (page 8). His expertise and leadership promise to make this event a must-attend for anyone involved in the chocolate sector. If you haven’t got your ticket yet, we urge you to secure them, as we gear up to reveal our full line-up of speakers and the agenda in the next edition. Additionally I’ve put together an in-depth review of the IFT FIRST expo held
in Chicago (page 10). This popular event focused on food science, technology, and innovation, and the comprehensive coverage we offer ensures you won’t miss any critical insights from the expo. Despite a few tornado warnings, Chicago still offered its exceptional charm and the Kennedy’s team hopes to return to McCormick Place soon.
