PREVIEW: SIGMA WORLD

Kanggiten’s first year: awards, case studies and the numbers behind them

Viktor Cherkas, CEO, Kanggiten

Gaming International Online sits down with Viktor Cherkas, CEO at Kanggiten to ask about how the company has grown and developed during its first award- winning year of operation.

GIO: Your first year brought ‘Best Live Platform Provider’ at SiGMA Eurasia, ‘Best Live Casino Provider ‘at GamingTECH CEE, and nine SBC Awards nominations, more than any other company entered. But how do you personally measure a first year? Viktor Cherkas: Awards mean people outside the company have looked at the product and formed a view. I wouldn’t build a strategy on them.

One detail is worth clearing up. Kanggiten is a year old as a B2B brand. The platform is much more mature. We built it for our own brands and ran it that way for over a decade, across 50-plus brands and three million players. This year was about turning that into something an operator outside our group could run themselves.

I’d rather be judged on how many of them migrated across and stayed.

GIO: What did running the platform for someone else teach you that ten years of running it for yourselves didn’t? VC: How much you have to expose. When it’s your own team, a lot of the logic can stay with the developers. An external operator needs those controls in front of them.

VOX Casino is the clearest case. They came off a platform they had built inhouse. We migrated them, brought in 26 providers and around 11,500 titles, and rebuilt the cashier to give the operator greater control over limits, preset deposit amounts, and the

order of payment methods for each market.

Then we tested. Fifty A/B experiments across five stages of the funnel. In their European markets, time to first deposit fell 25%, session duration rose 33%, ARPPU improved by up to 21%. The experiments matter more to me than the percentages, because VOX still runs them.

GIO: When an operator is preparing a brand for a new market, what usually needs to change on the platform, and how long does it take? VC: Less than most people expect, if the platform was designed for multi-market launches.

Registration fields, KYC steps, consent logic, responsible gaming messaging, bonus settings, payment methods, content and widgets may all need to be adapted. For us, most of this is configuration rather than new development.

The timeline depends heavily on how prepared the operator is. If the concept, creatives, content and operational requirements are ready, the full setup normally takes between 7 and 21 business days. Major platform deployments typically take between one and three days. Technology is rarely the main reason for a delay. It is usually late decisions, missing content or unclear operational requirements. The better prepared the operator is, the faster the brand can go live.

GIO: How important is the payment experience for player retention? VC: The cashier is not just a payment page. It is a key part of the player experience and retention.

Operators should monitor more than deposits and GGR. They also need to understand approval rates, decline reasons and withdrawal times across different payment methods and markets. We place this data alongside conversion metrics and give operators control over payment routing and payout rules. This means they can quickly see where players are dropping off, make a change and measure its impact.

GIO: Rome means four days of conversations. What problem should an operator bring to your stand? VC: The one their team has been trying to solve for the past six months. It could be recurring platform issues, a cashier they cannot configure properly, conversion that is not improving despite the CRM team’s efforts, or failed deposits with no clear explanation.

Bring the numbers. We will review the funnel and payment data, identify where players are dropping off, and explain what we would optimize, rebuild or migrate – and how long it would take. If changing platforms is not the right solution, we will say that too.

Kanggiten is in Hall 4, Stand 4067, at SiGMA World, Fiera Roma, 2 to 5 November.
