There’s a defi nite sense that the industry is gearing up for one of the busiest weeks of the year, with SBC Summit in Lisbon now just around the corner.
Taking place from 29 September to 1 October, the event will once again bring together operators, suppliers, affi liates and many of the people shaping the future direction of the industry. In this issue, we continue our preview of the Summit, looking at more of what visitors can expect when the doors open at the Feira Internacional de Lisboa.
Gaming International Online will, of course, be there too. We’ll be walking the halls, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones and keeping an eye out for the technologies, ideas and conversations that could infl uence the industry over the coming months.
And change is very much a theme running through this issue.
We speak to Slotegrator COO, Olga Ivanchik about the importance of speed and adaptability in an increasingly competitive market. Operators need to be able to react quickly, whether that means changing their casino front end, responding to player behaviour or adapting to local market requirements. Ivanchik explains how Slotegrator’s Casino Builder is designed to give operators greater control over making those changes.
Elsewhere, Tugi Tark and SlotCatalog offer their perspectives on some of the latest trends infl uencing iGaming and where the market could be heading next.
Finally, our Industry Insider, Mark McGuinness turns his attention to prediction markets. They have rapidly become one of the industry’s biggest talking points, blurring some familiar boundaries between trading, betting and entertainment, while creating plenty of regulatory questions along the way.
There should be no shortage of those conversations in Lisbon either. If you’re heading to SBC Summit, we’ll see you there.
