“One key highlight, and a standout moment of the past year for me, is AEG being named as the Which? Large Kitchen Appliance Brand of the Year 2023. This award is something that we’re incredibly proud of and will continue to strive to achieve again in the future through our constant product innovation and development, and excellent level of customer service.”
Sustainability Partner Awards are very important for all businesses, to celebrate the high quality work your employees have achieved throughout the year. And talking of awards, Electrolux is one of the headline Sustainability Partners of the ERT Awards 2023. There is no denying that there is a huge responsibility on electrical manufacturers and suppliers to source sustainable materials, as well as ensuring products are as energy efficient as possible once they’ve arrived in consumers’ homes. As the ERT Awards is a key event in the industry’s calendar it is important to recognise the changes in the market and reflect these changing values. So Electrolux is helping the ERT team to complete a rigorous data collection process to make the 2023 Awards event completely carbon neutral. Mr White adds: “We first joined up as a Sustainability Partner last year, and we thoroughly
enjoyed the event and fully
understood the important of raising awareness of a greener future for our industry. This feeds in to our own initiatives at Electrolux and we look forward to another exciting ERT Awards event in November.”
Sustainability is at the forefront of what Electrolux does. And earlier
this year the
company launched a new AEG laundry range – with products designed with a key focus on energy efficiency. As well as this, all appliances in the new Care range feature uncompromising innovation, to keep clothes looking and feeling newer for longer. In today’s age, consumers want answers on how to save energy in the home and use their appliances in the most energy efficient way possible, so the core focus for these ranges has been to provide innovative solutions to these ongoing challenges. The laundry range features AEG’s most technologically advanced washing machines, tumble dryers and washer dryers. The AEG 9000 Series AbsoluteCare 8kg Washing

Machine (pictured right), (30 per cent better than ‘A’ energy rating) purifies the water it uses by filtering harsh chemicals that can damage garments – and this is part of the brand’s EcoLine selection of appliances. With resource saving features such as AutoDose, which minimises detergent wastage, and AbsoluteWash, which cleans efficiently at 30 degrees and saves 30 per cent of energy, AEG appliances in the new laundry range help consumers live more sustainably.
Hero products at IFA Elsewhere, at IFA Berlin this year Electrolux put a spotlight on its AEG brand – which originates from the German capital city. It launched its AEG EcoLine range of appliances which it says it has been independently verified, and all of its appliances go through this process to prove that they are sustainable and resource-efficient “hero products”.
“The appliances within AEG EcoLine covers all the main product categories, ensuring it meets the needs of the entire home,” continues Mr White. “We know consumers are looking for ways in which to save energy around the home, so this accreditation helps them to quickly and easily see which of our products are the most eco-friendly, with the most energy efficient uses and features. “We also showcased some of our incredible

but the main highlight was being able to present our mission to help customers make easier choices when it comes to living more sustainable lives.”
Mr White says that Electrolux is playing close attention to the UK retail market. The “constant meandering” of
inflation, he says, has had
knock-on-effects throughout the supply chain. This is also not helped by the state of the current government and as we enter into an election year this is likely to continue, possibly to the benefit of businesses, as the current government are likely to offer some incentives to try to gain political points. >>
