COOK LIKE A PRO Home Appliances

What ya got cookin’? W

ith the abundance of cooking shows on TV inspiring the next generation of home bakers and chefs, it’s essential they have the right

tools to reach their potential. This is where you come in. While not everyone can be Mary Berry, today’s home appliances are designed to make it as easy as possible for consumers to reach the same level. “Kitchen and cooking trends have soared in

recent years, driven by factors like rising inflation, which have encouraged people to spend more time at home,” says Gino Grossi, Head of Brand and Category Marketing at Samsung. Many modern cooking appliances now feature Artificial Intelligence-assisted technology, offering users a helping hand, and Mr Grossi highlights how Samsung’s home appliances incorporate innovative features aimed at creating energy-efficient households, which is an increasingly important demand for today’s consumers.

One such innovation is Dual Cook technology, allowing users to heat only the top half of the

oven. For example, when cooking a pizza, this can save around 25 per cent on energy costs and reduce pre-heating time by 52 per cent. “It also offers greater flexibility,” he adds. “You can cook two separate dishes simultaneously at different temperatures. Our latest ovens and microwaves also include steam and air- fry functions, reducing the need for multiple appliances to prepare family meals.” We live in an age of culinary influences, from Bake Off and MasterChef to even light-hearted alternatives such as Come Dine With Me and Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares – though perhaps the latter isn’t just about cooking! These shows inspire consumers to experiment with diverse recipes. To support this, Samsung has developed its “Recipe to Oven” function, which transfers cooking settings from a recipe to the oven. With the Series 7 AI ovens, users can indeed cook like a pro quite simply thanks to AI Pro Cooking. The oven’s advanced AI and Sense Inside technology—featuring food recognition and burn detection—lets users monitor their cooking remotely. It even allows them to create

time-lapse videos of their dishes, for those who like to over-share on social media! Additionally, Samsung Smart Ovens learn

from their users, recognising ingredients and recommending optimised settings. “Customers want to experience products and understand their benefits,” Mr Grossi explains. “The more retailers can provide hands-on experiences, especially with kitchen products, the more likely consumers are to purchase.”

Home baking and cooking has become more than just a part of our daily lives; it is a hobby and even a livelihood for many. Will McGill explores the latest appliances to keep your consumers confidently cooking.
