John Lewis celebrates friendship and togetherness with 2021 Christmas advert


It has become an annual Christmas tradition… The launch of the John Lewis Christmas advert! Consumers are taken on a magical journey through the eyes of the lead characters, a


young boy called Nathan and a space traveller, Skye – who has never experienced Christmas before. The pair get truly into the festive spirit by decorating a tree and eating mince pies. The two minute advert, entitled ‘Unexpected Guest’, is a story of friendship and togetherness,

110 years of Whirlpool


Whirlpool Corporation is celebrating its 110 year anniversary this month, and reflecting on its significant history of innovation and collaboration throughout the decades. Upton Machine Company, founded in 1911 by Lou and Emory Upton in Benton


Harbour, Michigan, USA, began producing electric, motor-driven wringer washers. The Second World War saw the company shift operations to use its factories to create components for aircrafts and military equipment. By 1945 appliance


production resumed and the Whirlpool brand name was born in 1950. Today, the company has hundreds of sites across the world, including 14 in the UK with its head office in Peterborough and a manufacturing site in Yate. NEFF partners with BBC Countryfile Christmas in the Park


NEFF has announced it is an official major appliance sponsor for a new festive venture – BBC Countryfile Christmas in the Park. The event, which will be held at Charlton Park Estate in Wiltshire on 10-12 December,


will include two NEFF pods fully kitted out with appliances – including the popular Slide&Hide oven. Food writer and cook Kathy Slack and award-winning butcher Michael Thomas will be preparing some festive fare and hosting live demos of the appliances. Commenting on the new partnership, Sue Flowers, NEFF Group Marketing Manager,


said: “This first Countryfile Christmas in the Park encompasses everything we stand for at NEFF, creating memorable experiences, lots of fun and great food. We’re looking forward to spreading some festive cheer and creating some fantastic dishes in our experience pods.”
