Big Red Sales and Hitachi in exclusive refrigeration deal for Euronics members
Big Red Sales has announced its partnership with Hitachi to sell the brand’s refrigeration range to Euronics dealers across the UK on an exclusive basis. This began this month and includes the exciting new premium refrigeration
products currently being launched by the Japanese manufacturer. The UK launch of these latest models was spearheaded by a series of roadshows around the country earlier this month to enable dealers to see the products up close and to chat
to the Hitachi teams. ERT was invited to see the new Hitachi refrigeration range, including the
aesthetically-pleasing frameless design models and the flagship four-door auto opening model! Commenting on the arrangement, John Reddington, the Founder and Director of
Big Red Sales, said he is delighted to have brokered this deal for Euronics. “Being the only retailers in the high street to be able to sell Hitachi’s new refrigeration
products will, we believe, also attract more retailers to join the buying group,” he commented. “By ordering now, Euronics members will be well positioned to take advantage of a busy festive season of consumer spending on major electrical goods.” Hitachi’s Head of B2C Business for Europe, Richard Bass, added: “We are
doubly pleased that our refrigeration products – including the new premium range – are to be sold exclusively by Euronics members. Coupled with the Big Red Sales team, this spells a very successful path ahead for us all.”
Terra Carta, a recovery plan for Nature, People and Planet, launched in January this year. His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales was deeply encouraged by
Arçelik’s commitment to reducing Scope 1&2 GHG emissions by 30 per cent and the Scope 3 emissions from the use of sold products by 15 per cent as of 2030, and achieving Net-Zero GHG/CO2e emissions across the entire value chain by 2050. The Terra Carta Seal acknowledges that each industry faces unique challenges
in its transition to a sustainable future, and all companies must be supported as they take steps in a more positive direction. At the same time, an accelerated pace is required if we are to achieve a 1.5-degree target, restore biodiversity and benefit the lives and livelihoods of current and future generations. Hakan Bulgurlu, CEO of Arçelik, met The Prince of Wales alongside other
CEOs to celebrate the awards. He said it was “a great honour” to be one of the leading companies recognised. “Creating a sustainable future and setting ambitious targets is the number
one priority for Arçelik, and receiving the accolade demonstrates that we are living these commitments as a business.”
