Home Appliances CHRISTMAS

November 2021 ertonline.co.uk

Debra Beckett, Consumer Marketing Manager for Breakfast Appliances at Morphy Richards, adds…

Peak season in the breakfast category runs from October to January; add to this sales initiatives like Black Friday, Christmas and January sales and it really is a key period in our calendar! Although some SDA products make perfect gifts at this time

of year, we experience that sales are driven by consumers who want their homes to look good when they are hosting over the festive season. Premium coffee machines or a matching kettle and toaster set in a stylish shade can often be enough to give a kitchen a lift. We will soon be launching our new Venture range, which is a

collection of matching kettles and toasters, available in five colours. The Venture kettle features our iconic – and still hugely popular – pyramid shape. We also have Signature Opulent launching, an elegant new breakfast range with a luxury, modern design and copper, gold and translucent black finishing touches. Many people continue to work from home and the knock-on

effect is that we have seen increased demand for breakfast appliances and a willingness to invest more in premium products so consumers can recreate the coffee shop experience at home. We expect that trend to continue for a while yet.

Says Cira Jones, Assistant Brand Manager at Russell Hobbs…

We definitely see a clear increase in sales in the lead up to Christmas; this can be attributed to gifting and people wanting to spruce up their homes for Christmas hosting. We expect to continue to see strong sales of our

SDA products, although these sales will be earlier than in previous years I think due to the current up and down retail climate. Kettles, toasters and grills always do well at this

time of year. Our George Foreman Grills make the perfect stocking filler and we expect the Fit Grills, Flexe Grill and Smokeless Grills to be popular this festive period. Our Russell Hobbs x Emma Bridgewater range is also a great fit for gifting as well as our Good to

Go Multi-Cooker, which we launched in July, with its eight versatile cooking functions and removable control panel which means you can easily take

your piping hot meals straight to the table to serve. And it is dishwasher safe… No one wants to be left clearing up after a big Christmas gathering!

Helen Simpson, Marketing Manager for KitchenAid UK and Ireland, comments… There’s the KitchenAid Limited Edition Light and

Shadow Stand Mixer – coming with standard stainless steel accessories including a flat beater, dough hook and wire whisk. There are over 15 optional, dishwasher-safe extras for the famous attachment-ready Culinary Hub – enabling everything from slicing, grating, mincing, chopping and peeling, to juicing and spiralising. Or why not gift your loved one the freedom to

This year we are offering a wide range of table-top appliances that make fabulous festive gifts for foodies!

create anywhere – a clutter-free countertop and no tangled cords with the KitchenAid Cordless Collection, which includes a Hand Blender, Five- Cup Chopper and Seven-Speed Hand Mixer. The rechargeable lithium-ion batteries deliver the performance and efficiency you need. Meanwhile, our Bread Bowl with Baking Lid pairs with both the 4.3L and 4.8L iconic Tilt-Head

Stand Mixer and would be perfect for those Christmas kitchen bakes! The lid traps the steam to create an environment similar to a traditional steam oven, while the durable ceramic bowl retains and delivers even heat throughout the baking process, giving the bread a crispy crust and thorough bake… not to mention some wonderful aromas!
