Wine time!

German manufacturer, Liebherr, has recently launched a new collection of wine fridges (pictured above) – called GranduCru – offering optimal long-term protective storage conditions, and preserving the essence of every bottle, the brand says, allowing customers to enjoy wine the way the winemaker intended. The fridges provide double temperature protection thanks to

Style and design have always been key features for cooling appliances. There is a demand that they store food items in the best possible conditions, but also harmoniously match individual kitchen trends. “Our strapline ‘Technology with Style’

represents our innovative products that create a seamless and minimalist kitchen design aesthetic,” comments John Davies, Head of Marketing at Smeg UK. “With different colours and formats available, our cooling range can perfectly suit individual preferences.” Mr Davies excitedly reveals the brand’s new FAB28 models joining

its refrigeration range soon – available in Azzurro Blue, Matte Black, Perfectly Pale and Rust, and with a stylish matte finishing. “We expect to see key features, such as energy efficiency, sustainability and preservation, continue to be explored and developed within the cooling market,” he goes on. “And we are continuously exploring ways to ensure that our models are sustainable and are as cost effective as they can be.” With all members of the family going to the fridge multiple times during the day, a simple and easy-to-clean design is often at the top of consumers’ wish lists. Thankfully, Haier offers an anti-fingerprint finish on the Cube 90 Series 7. It also comes with light blue lights on the door and refined illuminated serigraphy on the icemaker (pictured inset). Not only this, but many homeowners now are looking for ways to add a personal touch to their appliances. Samsung’s Bespoke Refrigerator range taps into trends of modularity and customisation. Users can mix and match different product types to create a tailored configuration that can evolve with their lifestyle.

TempProtect Plus, monitoring via two sensors; HumidityControl features can be used to adjust the humidity individually per section. And preventing unfavourable ageing processes from taking place, Liebherr’s glass door models have unique triple-layered tinted UV- protective glass and a double layer of vacuum-deposited metal. For those who love to entertain, the neck-to-neck storage in this new range can now hold even more bottles! Tim Hutchinson, Divisional Manager at Liebherr, comments: “At Liebherr, we have dedicated huge resources into better understanding how to store wine to best preserve and enhance its taste, and we’re extremely proud of these new wine fridges that not only meet, but surpass, these demands.” Elsewhere, Pando has added a new 40cm under-counter wine cooler with a capacity for 28 bottles. The PVMBPHD40-28 (below) is available with a handle or as push-to-open and has independent temperature zones, a triple tempered glass door, LED interior light, professional style wooden shelves and right or left opening. As well as this, the digital display is ideal for regulating the temperature, turning the cooler on or off, or selecting standby mode. Of course, Pando offers a large range of wine coolers, including built-in, under-counter and free-standing models, and each of them come in different finishes – such as black glass, stainless steel, or panelled door with matching furniture.
