RANGE REVIEW: CLEANING & LAUNDRY CLEAN LIVING I children,

think it’s important not to compromise in caring for your most treasured and

sentimental possessions,

whether that be a knit cardigan or china plates passed down from a relative. It was from this seed, the idea for Norfolk Natural Living grew, a slow luxury cleaning and garment care brand with nature and craftsmanship at its core. As

a mother of three young I was interested in the

chemicals used in the home and in creating Norfolk Natural Living, I wanted to ensure we made products as natural as possible, which work

The Mrs Hinch phenomenon shows little sign of slowing, well certainly from EFG’s point of view anyway and only recently did she speak about of its own ‘Green Habitats’ garden range and the company saw expediential growth in this sector, so its buyers watch her feed carefully to see what the next product might be! EFG currently stocks many ranges she speaks about, including the

Astonish range, ZOFLORA, Minky, the entire new Elbow grease range, along with many of the laundry and storage items she speaks about from Wham.

EFG enjoys a very flat buying structure that allows fast decisions to list and sell products so its can be at the fore front of any burgeoning new trends all products available at n www.efghousewares.co.uk

The Coronavirus pandemic is

EFG’s cleaning division has continues to enjoy double digit growth and in fact it’s one of the company’s many success stories. It has however in recent times been assisted by the Instagram phenomenon that is Mrs Hinch and because of EFG’s excellent working relationships with suppliers and manufacturers alike, it’s been able to keep the key lines on the floor, and nowhere as this been more evident than the ‘PINK STUFF’. Whilst other suppliers have had potential supply issues EFG hase been able to offer continuity of the full range. unfortunately never out of the news and EFG has felt this acutely in its cleaning division where the demand of anti- bacterial products has soared by over 500 per cent!

EFG has been very fortunate that its buyers have access to suppliers

all over Europe and beyond, so the company has been able to offer a continuity of supply of Antic-Bac hand gels, DETTOL cleaning products and Anti-Bacterial wipes and the like. James Shipton, EFG’s toiletries buyer, commented that the company has had to pay a little more for the products in the marketplace currently, but feels it was the right thing to do to be able to offer EFG customers the product they need on their shelves. n www.efghousewares.co.uk

EFG embarked in the summer of 2019 to boost its ‘green’ credentials in the quickly developing ECO-cleaning sector. The buyers scoured the globe for cleaning products that were both excellent for the environment, but also did what they promised at a price that would be attractive.

Pete Spring, EFG’s cleaning buyer, commented that with the worldwide focus on reducing plastic EFG wanted to find an alternative to sit along the more established players and found Ocean Saver, the world’s first biodegradable cleaning pods. EFG also sourced the ECO-COCONUT RANGE, which has been incredibly popular and is now a successful product range in its own right. In addition EFG also now lists a huge range of recycled plastic and bamboo items that offer a choice to the consumer. n www.efghousewares.co.uk

but don’t harm our environment or precious water ways. Our products range from garment washes and multi-use surface sprays to skincare and DIY cleaning essentials such as bicarbonate of soda. Our wonder product is our popular scented vinegar, a powerful cleaning spray. Inspired by the beautiful Norfolk

countryside we call home, our philosophy is to preserve the environment and motivate others to make more eco-friendly choices. We achieve this by creating ecologically responsible products, keeping formulations toxic-free by using plant derived, locally sourced ingredients, we use PET recyclable packaging and never test on

animals. We also make everything by hand in our Norfolk workshop in small batches. Crafting things with care and consideration, we embrace the time it takes to create something that’s good quality, and we are constantly striving to find more sustainable solutions. Sustainability and wellness are at

the forefront of our minds and we have incorporated these principles into each and every one of our products. Self-care and cleaning can help your mental well-being, completing small tasks daily can create a sense of fulfillment. By using an ethical product, you know you are doing your bit to reduce pollution and protect the planet, but

It was whilst unpacking a childhood cardigan for one of my own children, I realised the precious memories clothing can hold and how with a little care those stories can live on, be retold and added to, loved and cared for by the next generation, says Bella Middleton - founder of Norfolk Natural Living and expert in natural cleaning and garment care.

also the visual and sensual pleasure of a simply designed product with a beautiful scent can make the most tedious of chores, that little bit more pleasurable.

As a British brand, we pride ourselves in providing safe products which are 100% natural and 100% UK made. To reduce single-use plastic, we encourage customers to refill their bottles at our flagship store by the coast in Holt, Norfolk. Our ranges are also available on our website norfolknaturalliving.com. I love the notion of a community supporting one another and my wish is for people to enjoy using our products as much as we loved creating them.
