6. QEP launches new website


Product manufacturer QEP has launched its new website, brining all of its tile, floor and decorative brands together for the first time. Standing alongside established websites for its brands, the new website corporate portal gives customers, partners and industry professionals a better understanding of QEP and charts the history and heritage of the company, exploring its roster of brands, the latest product launches, news of exhibitions and events and company updates as an easy to navigate digital home for QEP.

7. Vitrex launches Safestcut Sealant Remover


Vitrex, a brand of QEP, has launched Vitrex Safestcut Sealant Remover, a cutting tool designed for removing sealant without risking damage to surfaces. Designed for cutting away old sealant in even hard to reach of areas, Vitex is designed to be safer than working with exposed blades.

8. Sanicubic 2VX keeps sites running


Designed for high-demand environments, the Sanicubic 2 VX delivers efficient wastewater management where gravity drainage isn’t possible. It has been used in a major refurbishment at the northbound Leicester Forest East Services on the M1, providing temporary facilities for ten week, modular WC blocks with 12 toilets. With no excavation permitted and pipework required above ground, wastewater needed to be pumped over 15m to the nearest drainage point. Following a site survey and flow calculations, a three-phase Saniflo Sanicubic 2 VX lifting station was specified. Installed

9. Tile Rite introduces Big Spin Hurricane starter kit Tile Rite, a brand of QEP, has introduced the Big Spin Hurricane 5mm Deep Starter Kit for outdoor tile levelling. Designed especially for big format projects such as laying levelling large outdoor tiles, porcelain pavers and patio slabs, its two-part levelling design makes it simple to eliminate lippage and achieve a consistent grout line for a professional looking finish every time. Purpose-designed for heavier and larger outdoor tiles, Big Spin Hurricane uses a more robust, deeper base to give greater stability for slabs from 15-25mm thick, and to resist bending and movement from the weight of heavy tiles

10. Setcrete launches tile adhesives and grout range Setcrete used this year’s NMBS show to launch a new tile adhesives and grout range, aimed at building professionals who want an easy-to-use, straightforward product that is consistent and reliable. The launch range includes Rapid S1 Tile Adhesive and Standard S1 Tile Adhesive, which provide excellent bond strength and flexibility to combat moderate movement and vibration. These adhesives are complemented by Rapid Flex Tile Grout, suitable for joints up to 15mm wide. All adhesives and grouts are suitable for both wall and


floor tiles and are suitable both for internal and external applications, and are ideal for tiling wet rooms and power showers. They can be used with porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tiles and can be applied over absorbent and non- absorbent surfaces. They are also suitable for use over underfloor heating systems. Rapid S1 Tile Adhesive has an open time of 25 minutes, a pot life of 45 minutes and is ready to grout from three hours, while Standard S1 Tile Adhesive offers an extended open time of 40 minutes, a pot life of four hours and is set, ready for grouting from 16 hours. www.setcrete.co.uk
