or 24 nights across January and February, the MILWAUKEE World of Solutions Conference in Rome showcased the MILWAUKEE tools and equipment range, featuring both current and upcoming products, demonstrating the company’s commitment to becoming a complete solutions provider. 6,000 professionals attended the conference, including dealers, end-users, and MILWAUKEE staff, exploring 10 workstations around the venue, from hand tools and storage, to accessories, outdoor power equipment, and PPE.
The conference sought to spotlight inclusivity and efficiency, highlighting the desire to become a one-stop shop for users, providing ease of use and accessibility, including ‘Cutting the Cord’, offering battery usage wherever possible to make power and charging solutions universal.
Ian Wakelin, director of Job Site Solutions (JSS), says: “The UK construction industry is facing a dual challenge: a persistent productivity gap and a significant shortage of skilled workers. MILWAUKEE has also revealed its new mechanic starter set, providing an accessible entry to their automotive tool ranges. For PPE, the company displayed its Hexon heating technology, MILWAUKEE ARMOURTRED, and the new impact technology, which was showcased alongside a Virginia tech case study the company commissioned to help them optimise their impact helmet cushioning. safer and more intuitive than ever, which allows new starters to become productive on-site much faster. One example is battery-powered shear cutters, which completely eliminate the need for a hot work permit, saving hours of administrative time and reducing fire risk. Innovations like this empower tradespeople to work smarter, safer, and more efficiently. By investing in better physical technology, we can boost output, lower the barrier for new entrants, and build a more resilient, productive workforce for the future.”

The push for efficiency in ranges is one of the company’s key drives, with head of marketing Paul Strong explaining: “The UK Government has set ambitious and necessary targets for housebuilding, but meeting them will depend entirely on our ability to build efficiently and to a high standard. In this context, using the best, tried-and-tested equipment isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. There is simply no excuse for not using tools that guarantee quality and productivity.
“While many major contractors understand this, it’s equally important that these standards filter down to every level of the supply chain. Subcontractors are the backbone of these projects, and they must also be equipped to succeed. Investing in premium, reliable tools is an investment in meeting deadlines, ensuring worker safety and delivering the high-quality homes the country needs. It’s about getting the job done right, the first time.” BMJ
