Wrekin’s new gully chute Wrekin Products has released a new gully chute connector, which prioritises ease of installation and weighs less than 25kg for better handling and reduced lifting risk for contractors. Designed to install below a BS EN 124 480mm x 320mm clear opening gully grate or combined kerb and drainage unit, to act as a primary catchment chamber, the new gully chute connector makes light work of installations – requiring only concrete bed with an intermediate adjustment layer of mortar, before the backfill material and final road surface is applied. The stepped spigot outlet is also suitable for dual pipe sizes and types for a highly adaptable solution.

10. Baxi’s new boilers
Baxi has launched its latest 600 and 800 Combi and System 2 boilers, specifically designed to make installation. Improvements include a pre-heated siphonic condensate trap, which prevents freezing and boiler lockouts in adverse winter conditions, a combined PrV and separate primary boiler drain for quick, simple draining and maintenance access, and colour coded wiring blocks for easier wiring. Both ranges are now also manually convertible between Natural Gas or LPG without requiring a conversion kit to be fitted, adding flexibility for off gas applications.

The new 30kW output in the 800 System 2 boiler means the complete range offers outputs in the region of 24kW to 36kW for Combi boilers and 15kW to 30kW for System. All new models feature Certified OpenTherm technology, which maximises their efficient benefits when fitted and paired with Certified OpenTherm controls.

12. Keuco cleans up The new KEUCO glass wiper for Keuco shower screens and enclosures handles soap suds, shampoo and even limescale stains. With an ele-gant linear shape, the wiper is 82 mm, wide and because of its structure it makes it easy to clean corners, narrow angles or hard- to-reach places. A groove-less design avoids deposits of residue particles, and the built-in strap makes it particularly easy to store. The core of the glass wiper is made of a high- strength plastic, while the outside is covered with silicone which allows for a velvety, pleasantly soft touch. The plastic core provides stability, but a light weight. The silicone coating ensures it lies in the hand without slipping even when hands are wet. However, should it fall, the soft sur-face will not leave any scratches or dents on the floor or shower surface.
