05/23 1. CKI adds Clipacore

Carl Kammerling International added the Clipacore brand to its CKI subsidiary Nerrad Tool. A tool system designed to eradicate a common and dangerous problem for users of core drills, Clipacore is a clip release system which allows users to change and remove core bits from drills quickly and effortlessly. Dismantling a core drill after use often requires physical strength and brute force, as torque tension locks components together. The other issue with core drilling is waste concrete becoming wedged in the tool, another problem which has been solved with the Clipacore system. www.ck-tools.com

3. New FD60 Fire Door Silicone Sealant The new FAS Fire Door Silicone Sealant from Fire and Acoustic Seals seals gaps around exter- nal and internal 60-minute fire-rated doors, flat entrance doors and external timber screens to meet BS 476: Part 22 1987 & BS EN 1634-1: 2014, and for smoke and air leakage to BS EN 1634- 3: 2004. It has been tested to successfully seal cavities of up to 30mm wide by applying a 10mm deep silicone cap over either mineral fibre wool or FAS’s own- label Fire Door FoamTM. It also has 240 minutes of fire test evidence for other applications such as joints in walls, roofing, and bead glazing, with the added benefit of resisting general weather elements making it an ex-tremely useful fire-stopping sealant on site.

Makita’s new 36V battery powered the DCU604 Brushless LXT Wheelbarrow is capable of carrying loads of up to 300kg, benefits from a 36V Brushless motor, powered by two 18V LXT Li-ion batteries in series. It can travel up to 7.2km (when used with 4x BL1860B 6.0Ah batteries). 5. ERA introduces new sustainable packaging

ERA has introduced cardboard packaging that is fully recyclable from 1st April 2023. The newly designed cardboard packaging features euro hooks that enable merchants to stock its hardware within retail displays in the same way as its previous plastic clamshell and bag packaging.

Every aspect of the recyclable packaging is fully recyclable, without reducing the level of protection the product receives. This includes the box colour and reduced use of ink, in addition to the plastic bags previously found inside the packaging being replaced with paper bags.

6. Marley’s new M10 solar panel Marley, has launched the new M10 Solar Photovoltaic Panel, further strength-ening its popular and innovative Marley SolarTile® range. Larger than, but complementary to, Marley’s existing 335 Wp solar panels, the new M10 Solar Photovoltaic Panel delivers a peak power of 405 Wp to increase to-tal power from a roof area, whilst the larger size means that fewer solar panels are required on a roof to achieve the desired power output. Importantly, since fewer panels are needed, installation time is also reduced to less than 45 min/kWp. Compatible with all plain and profiled tiles and natural or fibre cement slates, the M10 includes special fixings for different batten thicknesses and comes with roofing kits for simple fitting. The M10 offers 10 slimline connectors for each cell meaning the higher power rating enables roof integrated solar to be even more cost effective. www.marley.co.uk/solar
