anti-theft tool marking events Covers Timber & Builders Merchants in Chichester hosted a series of free anti-theft tool marking events during February and March. The company, which is based on Quarry Lane, invited local tradespeople to visit their depot to get their tools officially marked by Sussex Police to protect their equipment and deter thieves. Officially marking tools makes it more difficult for stolen items to be sold on, and helps to reunite equipment with its rightful owner if it is found. Sussex Police were at Covers Chichester providing the free service to all customers on Monday 18th and Wednesday 27th February between 10am and 2pm and Tuesday 12th March from 2pm until 5pm.
