rown Paint has revealed its Colour Insights for 2025/2026 with a collection of five curated palettes designed to give merchants, painters and decorators “the confidence to guide customers through their colour journeys”. Jemma Saunders, Colour Specialist at Crown, says: “This year, we’ve looked beyond the usual sources of inspiration and considered global shifts, including environmental changes, technological advancements, and evolving human interaction with spaces to create our five new colour palettes.
“Named after the themes they tap into, Co, Choreography, Disrupt, G-local, and Faraway, each reflect a different cultural trend, making it easier than ever to recommend colour combinations that resonate with customers.” Saunders explains that in the Co palette should be thought of as the happy medium between productivity and relaxation, and it’s great for workplaces, living rooms, or any social space. The base colours are soft, calming greens and greys, but Crown added some warms reds and yellows to infuse it with life and energy.
Whereas, the Disrupt palette is for making a statement and commanding attention with electric blues, vibrant oranges, and yellow accents. Saunders says: “The greys in the mix help to ground everything, making sure it’s striking without feeling chaotic. It’s great for retail spaces, creative offices, or even standout feature walls at home.”
The G-local palette blends traditional neutral tones with subtle pops of modern synthetic green and orange.
“It was inspired by the connection of local craftsmanship with global trends and is perfect for customers who want an understated palette, using textures and materials for interest with accents of bright saturated colour for focal areas,” adds Saunders. And last but not least, Faraway is an iridescent mix of blues and purples with warm
greens to create futuristic colour scheme that shifts and adapts depending on the light. “It’s got a high-tech, digital feel but stays warm enough to work in real-world spaces,” says Saunders. “It’s a versatile palette and suits most spaces. For a more daring approach use the stronger tones and for a subtle result use more of the Clay White to create a calming ambience.

“Not every customer hires a decorator with clear vision. Some know exactly what they want, while others need a gentle nudge in the right direction and that’s where our Colour Insights palettes come in.”
For commercial clients seeking high- impact, dynamic designs, shades like those in the Disrupt palette offer vibrant contrasts that make offices and hospitality spaces pop. Alternatively, decorators catering to homeowners might look to Co and Choreography for a selection of hues that provide welcoming, understated tones for bedrooms and living areas.
G-local bridges the gap between traditional materials and modern aesthetics, making it ideal for customers working on restoration or hybrid spaces. And for those excited by digital innovation and future-forward design, Faraway provides adaptability.
Saunders says: “Pairing the right finish with the right palette is key to achieving the desired aesthetic. We’re seeing a growing preference for matt and ultra-matt finishes, especially with the Co and Choreography palettes, where softness is key for creating welcoming spaces. For those looking to make a bold statement, Disrupt shines when in high-gloss, emphasising its high-energy. Meanwhile, Faraway’s futuristic vision is enhanced by satin finishes, adding depth and movement. “Sustainability is another key consideration and our Colour Insights palettes align with the growing demand for environmentally responsible choices. Many of these shades are inspired by biophilic design, reinforcing a connection to nature and enhancing overall well-being.
“We know how important it is for merchants to have the right tools at their fingertips. That’s why Crown offer market leading point of sale to showcase colour, along with inspiring digital assets to empower the trade to be more confident in discussing colour with their clients.” BMJ
